Exactly. Some people just don't listen. It happens. And I can vouch for what Doe is saying. I have talked with the staff and Nicole, one of the admins. All very nice people.

I'm glad that what I said could help. :) I hate to be the 'staff member that loves other staff a lot' but I have to say that the admins are really nice, not only that but they love to get to know people and they love Mibba. They are very compassionate, I mean they (the admins) are always coming up with new ideas for Mibba, more ways to get people writing, to give feedback, and to make this a very nice site. And again, I agree with ptvjaime. There are a lot of users who were not listening to the warnings we were giving. That's why some people are still getting banned multiple times, because they keep doing the same thing but won't own up to it. v.v

That is sad, but true. I guess people are not going to learn.

I was warned for bashing back when we had warnings. I bashed a singer and an article on Mibba. It was immature. There, admitted. Audrey's warning blog made me straighten up. What confuses me the most is that some people say we need to go back to warnings. Well, I did it twice. That alone proves some people are not going to learn. Plus, there are multiple bannings. So there's that warning that people aren't taking. There are good rules and admins doing a hard job at keeping the website clean so we don't get ridiculed. I'm used to that at home, so I like Mibba not being that way. But some people will say anything for a little sympathy or a little agreement.

    @ Doe.
Somehow when I read what you wrote here, I feel better. Thank you for your input, really; I think I needed it. ptvjaime also; all the admins I've had a chance to chat with are all very nice and level-headed. So I can't see them banning people without having it justified.

That is what I want to believe, because that means the rules are there and the admins are doing their jobs. But it's just off-putting when you see such a large number of people saying the same thing, you know?

I understand that people are entitled to their own opinions but I don't know about the rest of the people, the blog just makes me sad. If people just need to rant, they can write a private blog to just rant, right?

I just want things to cool down and be back to normal. Sad

I agree with everything you said. And I think you explain yourself warmly and very well. People don't get banned for no reason. They get banned for bashing people, authors, books, etc. (or continuously breaking rules that they've been warned about.) Bashing = insulting, and Mibba is supposed to be an insult-free creative writing website. Which I don't see what's so wrong with. I personally like that I have a place to go where I know that it wouldn't be okay for someone to call me derogatory names or insult my intelligence. I have to agree with ptvjaime, too, what she said is true. People usually stretch the truth to gain sympathy or they are just too embarrassed and don't want to admit a mistake. The thing is though, Mibba gives second chances. Bans are not permanent, they are more of a: "you got pretty hot and bothered today, why don't you sit out for awhile and think about what you've said." Like a sit out during recess.

I agree about the blogs. From where I stand, there is no banning for no reason. A lot of people saying that were saying it because they either did not take personal responsibility for their own bans or wouldn't admit someone else really did do something to get banned. There are always reasons.
