I don't think that virgins should be exempt from writing smut (because then where would that leave me as someone who writes a lot of smut, ahaha) but experience definitely helps? I dunno. If there's anything I've noticed it's the twelve year olds that are writing the stories where the girl is basically having five orgasms on her first time, not the older and presumably sexually experienced writers. I think it's a matter of just learning that "things don't work that way." When you're first learning about sex you kind of assume it doesn't hurt the first time, the girl comes every time just like the guy, and shit like that. I personally didn't know otherwise until I was at least fifteen because I just wasn't taught otherwise. Knowledge and research is super important when you're writing, but it's something that authors tend to overlook when writing a sex scene.

I agree with what you're saying for the most part.
The only thing is that I had experienced orgasms prior to losing my virginity because I had messed around with guys before actually having legit sex.
I agree though, its hard to have an orgasm when it feels like you're being ripped in half lmao.
I think that with virginity loss scenes that there should be some kind of background to if the virgin has had orgasms prior to or not. That way, it would make more sense if there's a mind blowing orgasm scene going on lol.

It depends on the virgin. Everyone's sexual level is different. Losing your virginity is not exactly suppose to hurt, but for some people it does. It just really depends on the girl and who she's sleeping with and how prepared they were beforehand.

But virgin scenes in writing do need to improve cause sex isn't one size fits all.
Completely agree. It doesn't always hurt for everyone. And sometimes virgins do know what they're doing because they've heard stories, seen things, or read things about sex. But I do agree that when it comes to writing someone losing their virginity in stories, there needs to be more diversity.

YES! Seriously, thank you! People need to be aware of this!

Like some others have already said, I get a girl knowing if she's getting close to the edge if she's already experienced an orgasm and whatnot, but if she hasn't, then more times than not, she's got no idea what's going on. Hell, the first time I had an orgasm, I was fucking scared as hell and it was -- rather hilariously, really -- the toughest thing to actually get in the mindset for. It was something was so intense it was almost painful, and I couldn't stop myself from moving at the last second like an idiot.
    /smh.

But really, where the hell is that smut story? I can't be the only one that had that issue, can I? I'm now going to have to go and write a one-shot or something based off of this so that I feel better about myself. xD

Indeed. That's just unrealistic. I did know about orgasm and masturbation, and my guy wasn't a virgin, so it didn't hurt nearly as much as it hurt some girls. In other words, I was the lucky minority. But especially a virgin girl and guy. It's gonna hurt. A lot. And there'll probably be blood.

Faking orgasms was pretty easy for me. I've faked several, including the first time I had sex with a guy. (I lost my virginity to a girl.)

I was a very sexual virgin, so losing my virginity was not a complete shock or my first time being penetrated or anything like that.

But I do agree that virginity scenes need to be handled better. I read slash and a guy not getting prep or lube the first time? Errrr, no.
