I liked the entire saga, and while I'm not crazy about it anymore, I would still reread it again. She's not a terrible writer. I think people don't like the plot line and take it out on her as an author instead.

I don't dislike her, I dislike the idiot publishers who let this book pass thru without actually sitting down with her and pointing out a few things that were problematic.

Honestly, I didn't like Twilight. But I read all of them. Because I like the other characters, and the violence. I didn't like the whole romance thing because it's one of those "We knew each other for a day or week and fell in love."

BUT I did enjoy The Host. Also not for the romance aspect. Sadly, I didn't like the movie too much, but maybe because I expected more from it.

I thought that The Host was a brilliant book :) It's actually one of my favorites and, while I'm not too fond of the Twilight series, I have nothing against her or her writing.

I had no problem with Steph until the Twihards ruined everything. I'm really into vampires and everyone in middle school called me that creepy vampire goth emo girl and then the movie comes out and everyone loves it and I'm just like NO. I'm not a fan of humanized vampires though, so that part just wasn't for me. I like monsters who are completely okay with being monsters. But that woman should get props because she took a relatively simple story and made uber cash. I honestly thought this blog might've been you stumbling over the insults Stephen King threw at her over it based on the title because he's probably a bit jealous his books were rejected and her first one made her a superstar.

Yeah, I remember reading the whole series and people at my school made fun of me and another friend about then.
Fast forward to when the first movie came out and they showed up with Team Edward merch and discussed
Rob Pattz and how hot he is. Rolling Eyes

Besides that, The Host book as well as movie is one of my favourites and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
She did well on that one and she's raking in cash for Twilight; therefore, she did well for herself.

I expect an onslaught of E.L. James bashing because of the 50 Shades movie as well, how lovely. /meh.
