I think after you brought it up in your comment on my own blog, I went onto Instagram and saw a post about someone's thoughts on the legality of some of the Pokemon that were going through Pokemon Bank. I honestly didn't know what it was at the time.

.... They put up a maintenance page... *slow clap* Oh, Nintendo.

While I was on Instagram, I heard someone say they were probably going to release it on the seventh of January. I checked it and it was fake. My heart broke for the second time in a week.

It's Nintendo. That's about the only reason that I can come up with. Online services have never really been Nintendo's strong suit, I can't really remember an online service that ever launched without a problem. Although, I have to say that Nintendo has really outdone themselves this time. Crashing their servers so bad they had to put up a maintenance page just to track the repair progress. I don't know if I should laugh or cry that their servers actually got that fried. xD

I'm surprised you hadn't heard about it. So many people are angry about it, whether it's because the Japanese players were flaunting it or because Nintendo screwed up their own legality checker again. .-. I laughed pretty hard when I heard about the legality checker failing. It was just so hyped up and then it didn't even last more than a few seconds when it was released.

On the bright side, at least you won't have to deal with the heartbreaking disappointment of Nintendo's delays.

I'm almost glad I'm sticking with Pokemon White and White 2. Is that sad to say.

Words cannot express how let down I feel about this being postponed. It's just... I want to lay in bed all day and eat ice cream and watch the sad parts in Titanic and just be a fat kid. Ya feel? I just wanted to get all my Pokemon from Black and Black 2 onto X so I could play with them in Amie. And now I can't cuddle and love them or feed them or anything!

I was checking the eShop about two days before the launch and all it was was busy. I couldn't get in and was only able to the day it was supposed to come out. Why are their servers so bad? I mean, it's not like they can't splurge a bit to make them better, and as you said, they're a big company! And to be honest, they really should have been expecting it. They were advertising it like crazy and they're launching it two days after Christmas. There's no way they wouldn't get the traffic they did!

I hadn't heard about them being able to send illegal Pokemon through it until you brought it up actually. But that's a good thing, too! Hopefully Nintendo will be fast about it and get it out asap. Maybe they'll feel bad for throwing our dreams to the wind and will pick up the pace. One can only dream.

PLEASE NINTENDO, HURRY IT UP!
