@ DarkHeartedAngel I will do, what's the best way to contact you? Through a comment on your profile or a private message? I just need to plan how I'm going to work it then I'll be able to start.
@ shirtless That would be fantastic, I'm able to study up to three people for this. So you'd be perfect for the uncommon side of the study.
@ DarkHeartedAngel I need someone who has a common fear, as I said above I'm able to study three people. I've got one person I can study in person, so yourself and shirtless would be perfect for me.
I would gladly help you, and from what I've read below, my fears are often referred to as uncommon. I don't know any others who are afraid of plants and balloons.
@ piercethecharlie I think it could turn out really great and interesting, especially when you compare the reactions and the causes for two different types of fears. But I think you should find somebody that you could sit down and talk to, because body language is a very important aspect of psychology. I also believe that even though research is important the main focus of your project should stay on the stories of the people that you would work with. It would be great if you tape an interview with them and include it in your work. I hope I helped, rather than complicated things :)
@ Knochen I've actually contacted my tutor this evening about that, because I wasn't too sure myself. She stated that I had to find someone with a fear that's quite uncommon, something that's quite compelling and takes a lot of research. She wants me to explore an uncommon fear as well as a common fear. Sorry if that doesn't make sense but that was the best way I could figure to explain it.
It sounds really interesting to explore somebodies fears. Are you looking for something specific, because I think people fear a lot of things. Starting of the smallest micro-organisms to things that don't exist like ghosts and so on.
