Trust me I know how you feel. I'm in kind of the same situation you are. I'm crushing on my friends from middle school, that I've liked for seven years now. He knows it and we fool around with each other, but we're not together. He keeps talking about this girl that he wants to get with so badly, but he won't cause she's taken. I feel like with us it's only sex, but not all the time. We still act like friends and the only one who knows that we mess around is my cousin who is also Max's best friend.

It's hard to do, but you need to put some distance between yourself and your friend. I'm doing the same thing and it sucks, but it's for the best. You're only going to hurt yourself if you keep close.
