Something that really irks me! - Comments

That's fair enough, or you could even just tag each user you might not have much to say to (which is understandable as sometimes comments left don't exactly invite conversation anyways, much like story comments. Haha) and just say thanks for their input or simply put a smiley face. At least then people know you read their comment

Like that one person said below sometimes I just have nothing to say however I'll put a smiley face to let them know I got their message and so they won't think I'm ignoring them

Well I'm glad you weren't offended and if I hadn't have been in bad mood, I probably would've dismissed the whole thing and put it down to an oversight. And I really appreciate you responding and letting me know that it was just that. Means I definitely won't hesitate to talk to you again now
I try to respond to everyone too, so at least we know we can expect that of each other! Hahaha.

I understand it's up to everyone's discretion as to who they choose to respond to and who they don't. If you simply don't like a person or if the person seems like they're trying to be antagonistic, then it makes sense to ignore them, because obviously you don't want interaction or communication with them. As I said, each to their own when it comes to responding and at least now I know if I was to comment any of your blogs, not to expect a comment because you choose not to. No worries

You're welcome, it def was an honest mistake. Because when I read your blog I was agreeing with everything you said because I've been working hard to start communicating with people more. I remembered that you commented on my blog and I was like "I'm pretty sure I responded to her" & I went & looked and saw that I forgot to add your username. But no, I wasn't offended. I understand how it is to have a bad day and want to rant about something normally I wouldn't even think about. But I promise I'm not like that, I usually reply to everyone!

I don't respond to everyone because it just ups comments on the blog and I don't like that. I answer questions if they're asked. But there are certain users I refuse to respond to because I personally don't like them and don't want to encourage any interaction amongst us at all. Beyond that, sometimes I just don't want to talk about it. Sometimes I just post a blog of my own personal thoughts and opinions and I don't care what others have to say.

Thanks for the apology and sorry if my blog offended you at all. I will admit that it was triggered by you missing replying to my comment, but it's also about others who seem to post a lot of blogs but never bother to answer those who comment on it. Normally this kind of thing wouldn't bother me, but I've been having kind of a rough few days and just lost my cool over something I normally wouldn't have worried about. But I appreciate your apology and I understand it was a mistake. No hard feelings

That's true and a fair point. I suppose I shouldn't take it personally, it just gets frustrating when you try to connect with people, especially if their blog was about something you can relate to and you're seemingly ignored. Might seem petty, but just my opinion

I don't think it's whiny to not like it. I'm the same, I try to reply to everyone even just to show appreciation for them taking to the time to comment at all. I get that sometimes it can be overlooked or maybe it was something the author intended to do, but was distracted and forgot. But I also know of users who write a lot of blogs and want people to comment, but often never bother to respond. I feel if you've got the time to put the thoughts out there on a regular basis, then it's not so hard to make the effort to respond to the people who take the time to read it and leave a comment. Common courtesy, in my books.

I understand that. It's happened to me plenty, and recently I've been called a whine ass for bringing it up. Unfortunately its a common thing, and If I've ever done it to anyone it wasn't intentionally done...

Sometimes people "pick and choose" in their blog comments because there's nothing to say to another person or sometimes they just miss it but I don't really worry about whether not people respond because they did get a notification which I can assume they looked at/read my comment.

I'm sorry if you think that I ignored you on my blog! I meant the comment that I put after the two of you commented to be for you also, I just forgot to add your username!
