It does offend me, but...you're right. I had all trust in him, and now I don't...can't let him in. I trusted him with so many things, and now I feel like our trust was broken.
He's entitled to his opinion, and I just want things to work out

Love shouldn't be conditional, nor should it be based on the only person being happy and cared for
more the other person. What you identify as and are comfortable being shouldn't be his choice.
It's your choice & your life. The one who's at a loss here is him. & that way of thinking he's
pushing onto you is very damaging and hurtful.
