Yeah. Thanks for the input. :) Makes sense. I love dialogue in stories, myself. I also like a build up to sex too.

Hey ! Yeah, I can see people like the fantasy aspect of it. I mean, that's the same reason I wrote a scene or two like that myself. Something really bothered me though is people EXPECT scenes to be a certain way after they get used to reading them the same way. I wrote a scene in a fan fic where the girl had a hard time getting off and never actually did because m shadow,s character was meant to be a selfish prick. Well I got a comment from someone talking about how they would much rather read ''more professional" sex scenes. And where the girl gets off. So it was like.....I'm unprofessional cause I made it realistic? Facepalm

But yeah I like the 'realness' aspect too like comical relief or when there's an occurrence that makes it feel not so glamorized or 'sex goddy lol'.

Okay, that is the best little comic strip ever! Except, I've never actually hear the "Do you like A7X?" part, because usually if someone's wearing the shirt, it just jumps immediately into "DUDE NICE SHIRT!" xD But I totally feel the same way; wearing one of their shirts is a sure-fire way to start great conversations with strangers and become best friends with them. /nods.

I agree with ptvjaime, though; I think for some it's just part of the fantasy that they can be with a guy who knows how to work magic and find G spots without even trying. ...I don't get that, though. As nice as that might theoretically be, I think I'd feel inadequate by having to actually try while he doesn't... I don't know. The fact that I feel inadequate even reading those scenes says a lot about me, I suppose. I should work on that. xDD

For me, I think too much detail can be a bit boring, if there aren't good breaks for either something amusing happening or some kind of dialogue. A little detail about how they accidentally managed to fall off of the couch, or how she turned her head to the right, caught sight of the discarded shirt, and remembered that (oh no!) she might've accidentally put an air-dry-only shirt in the dryer. ...Those kinds of things make me snicker, and it makes the scenes feel so much more real to me.

I mean, I get the perfect fantasy angle, I do! But for some reason I find the imperfect fantasies much more perfect. ...If that makes sense.

That said, a lot of the smut I read usually leaves me thinking that it wasn't detailed enough, and that everything happened too quickly. I know what you mean about the INSTA-O that seems to be all over the place, and I think part of the reason it seems too quick can be because there wasn't enough detail in the building scenes to make it seem like time actually moved forward, you know?

What gets me most is when a guy is fingering her just by 'pumping' fingers and not actually paying her clit any mind, and she manages to come from that, or get really really close. I mean, it's one thing if he's curling his fingers and finds her spot or whatever, but just the pumping? That's a guy thing, I think; I've never actually talked to a girl who could get off on that. Actually, I've only talked to a few girls who even truly enjoy that... most seem to be very 'meh' about it.

OH! And then the simultaneous climaxes. That gets me. Like, really, how did you managed to time that perfectly the first time they're together? Why is that necessary? And, actually, why does she even need to get off while they're actually having intercourse? I know plenty of my friends never really manage to get off while he's actually in them, but they still have a hell of a time and can get off before or after (before's more common, because guys can be lazy, haha) the actual intercourse. Sex doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyable, you know?

...But I get why people would want it to be; I do. I'm probably guilty of making my scenes unrealistic, too, even though I try hard to add little imperfections. In a one-shot I wrote, I actually had the girl have to finger herself a bit to get over the pain and trigger her own orgasm. I still think it's a good scene. /shrug.

...I wrote an essay. I'm sorry!

I think some girls write the females coming fast because orgasm for women can be hard and it's part of the fantasy that the guy is that good. However, there is the A spot just behind the G spot that supposedly, when manipulated correctly, brings a woman close to orgasm in mere minutes. The refractory period is kinda ridic imo. Like, they can talk or he can help her warm up again while his junk warms back up. That's not impossible. I think the keys are two things: details and dialogue. Details as in, try expanding a simple action to a few paragraphs. I have a story I think that shows that. Since sex is all about tension, after all, you build it by dragging it out-to an extent, there is a "too much." And dialogue. I think when they talk to each other, it's sexy. Even if it's like, "Shit, did I pull your hair?" or "Wait is that strawberry lube? I'm allergic to that." Also I'm a huge fan of oral so long oral scenes are an insta-win for me.
