I hate telling people I have my tongue pierced. - Comments

One of the guys I was recently seeing was trying to insinuate why I got mine pierced. It's just super annoying. If a person is going to be that obnoxious and perverted and try to say I got a piercing done just for sex acts, then that's exactly what my piercing is not going to be used for. bwhahah.

THANK YOU! I got mine done when I was 19 because I really wanted another piercing nothing more. I immediately stop talking to anyone (online) that has ever made a perverted comment about my piercing. The people in my life don't give two shits. It took my one guy friend months to realize I had it pierced and his only comment was "you have your tongue pierced? Wow I didn't know that." That should be the reaction. He didn't make it perverted or anything. But then again most guys can't be awesome like he is.

I'm the same way. I got mine pierced when I was 14 because... I wanted my tongue pierced because it was a piercing. And I just hate all the, "Oh you got your tongue pierced?" reactions. Like people, can you not? Just because it's pierced doesn't mean I wanted to go out and give everyone head. :/

Lots of people around here have their tongues pierced, and not even for a sexual reason. But that's like with people and their assumptions about tattoos. I now have a tattoo and people automatically seem to assume that I'm either trashy or that I did it to be rebellious. No, I wanted a tattoo (which is a HP one), and my parents gave consent so it's not like I managed to forge their signature and all that. People are just ugh.

I remember back when I was in High School EVERYONE it seemed like had their tongue pierced. To us it was just an extension on our body..no one talked dirty to someone for it..

I guess it all depends on mentality and respect for a total stranger. Lol...

I know how you feel! I had wanted to get mine done for years and while my mom let me get snakebites and my nose pierced she said no to the tongue. She was fine with my tattoos! (My mom is weird) but I finally got it done for my 21st. I don't know if it's just me, but I actually forget I've got it pierced a lot of the time haha. And like you nobody can tell I've got it done unless they're looking for it or I tell them. But here's hoping one day people will be able to get their heads around tongue piercings without judgement. And I don't just mean pervy people lol.

Sucks you get perverted people making assumptions about your piercing. My boyfriend has three piercings in his tongue, simply because he wanted them. But he can be judged sometimes for it, but probably not as much you might as a female. And I agree that it's hard to tell when someone has a tongue piercing unless you stare. Haha. I had no idea my partner did until after we started dating, because he trained himself to talk so you couldn't see them... Mostly to get away with keeping them at work.
