It sounds like the build up on your ceiling is build up from poor ventilation in the room. If you don't either keep a window open or the overhead vent fan on during hot showers, the moisture rises naturally and collects into the paint of the ceiling. They can repaint there but later on the same thing will happen if not properly ventilated.

I don't mean to sound bossy or come off as rude lol. My husband restores homes for a living due to water damage. Moisture and humidity is kind of his thing lol.

But mopping the ceiling sounded like a practical idea. Don't beat yourself up. Cute

I would've done the same thing if it wasn't for the fact that I have popcorn ceilings and I just don't wanna go get the bleach haha. Its too high up for my damn shortness. I'm only 5'0 tall. I have done plenty of stupid cleaning stuff in my day as well haha.

This made me die of laughter! Don't feel bad I would've done the same damn thing! I have to clean my showers and ours are all tile and my mom makes me scrub it but I don't even want to touch it so I use the mop instead. And I waste bleach like its going out of style. I bleach everything. I feel like its the only thing that gets something super clean if you feel me, and I always get in trouble for wasting it. I dip dyed one of my bags and filled a bucket of bleach and my mom almost killed me cause there was none left for when she was washing her work shirts. And one time there was this HUGE bug on the ceiling fan in the kitchen and my brother and I were like we gotta get rid of it but how so we got a broom and were trying to get it down but it kept crawling away so I was like I know, and mind you the ceiling fan was on while we were doing this, so I'm like yeah I know what to do while my brother is swatting with the broom. I go and get the bleach spray bottle thinking this'll kill the sucker for sure and I get up on a chair and try to spray it but the ceiling fan takes it and blows the bleach right into my brother's eyes. Facepalm

Does it make me a bad person if I tell you I laughed reading your tale? tehe

I'm sorry. It's just funny. It's bad that you have bleach dropping on your face but... you know. It's like watching a funny scene in the movies. Like we know the characters are in pain but it's just so funny that we have to laugh. XD

    I'm sorry though.

If it makes you feel any better, I had a teacher once who told us about this time when her and her boyfriend were redecorating the house and they were painting the living room, and there was this big patch of plaster on the wall that hadn't been painted over, so she covered it and then realised she was using the varnish paint for the door instead of the matt paint for the wall so they had this HUGE shiny patch on the wall. It's still there now. XD
