@ Lyra Thanks, hun! Well, I'm not making any decisions right now... Even if I don't keep posting, I'll always send stuff to you! But... Let's just see! *hugs* xx
You're an amazing writer hun! Don't let people not commenting get you down. *hugs* Your stuff is fantastic, and I would hate to see you give up. I'd be so sad if you did :(
I think older writers can write smut just poorly as 14 year olds can. It feels like this fandom sometimes revolves around that aspect of a story... But I guess a lot of fandoms do.
@ Join the Masquerade It's an extremely hard fandom to write for! Currently, on most of the websites I read/post stories, it's all about Frank/Gerard D/s, infidelity (for no other reason than a lack of interesting plot ideas!!!!), abuse, self-harm, rape and bullying! It's extremely hard holding onto a fandom that means quite a lot to me, (because, I mean, I really love the band!), because the fandom seems to be ruled by little girls incapable of writing anything new and interesting! I mean no disrespect when I comment on their age, but I find that most of them are, in fact, still that young! (For instance, I know of a writer on another site, who writes graphic smutty boyxboy scenes, who is only 14!)
Sorry, now I'm preaching in the choir, and ranting agian! I just really appreciate you giving feedback, because I didn't actually think anyone was going to read this! Thank you!
The MCR fandom is reeeeally hard to write for, I've found. I love writing Gerard/OFC but the interest just isn't there for it. And it goes through phases like vampires and teacher/student and merch girl following the band around and an MCR members's kid falls in love with Gerard and it's hard to keep up with what's in demand and what isn't. Readers tend to come and disappear really quickly as they gain and lose interest.
I'm much the same though. I'm subscribed to MCR stories I'm way behind on and have no interest catching up on anytime soon. It's just a weird fandom to be in.
