I Miss the Star Ratings! (& Mibba Ideas) - Comments

I can understand why the star ratings got removed to begin with, since they really only reflected on how popular a story was rather than its quality. But on the other hand, it was such a rewarding system too. I wasn't on long enough to have a story reach 10 stars, but it was neat climbing up to 3-4, seeing how far your story has gone since you put it out.
When New Mibba came around, I remembered hearing that the star rating was going to eventually be replaced with something else, but who knows if we'll see it at this point :P

Too bad it couldn't really be implemented here again.

I miss the star system so much as well. I think like three of my stories made it. I print screened them back then each time cause I was so excited! Those were the days.

Yeah, I loved it. It was so awesome watching the story climb in stars. It honestly took awhile to get up there. It was great when you finally reached ten.

I agreed. I definitely think we should have both. Reccs are saying, hey, I like this read this, but the stars definitely tell how much people like it. I miss it. :(

I'd been on Mibba for a few months and I finally came up with a story that gained popularity and just as it was about it hit ten stars, that rating system was removed, I was so disappointed. I think it would be good to have both the star ratings and recommendations because I think the star system was more honest but it's also good to be able to recommend stories for other people to find them.

Ah...the good old days of the rating system. Honestly, it was one of the things that I loved about the stories section.

I do hope that they bring it back! It certainly would be great to have again...IDK why they took it away in the first place. I agree with making the site that much more interactive.
