Sometimes. I have moments where I am unable to read chaptered fiction and can only sit through and process fiction that is short and drabble-like. But then I am able to move on and get back into the swing of it.
I'd like to think I'm getting better at writing chaptered fiction, on the other hand. I finished my first chaptered fiction at age. . .14/15. It had to be at least 20k which was a big deal at the time and a milestone. Maybe it's just your preference for now, who knows what the future has in store for you. What matters is you enjoy what you're reading and writing. What matters is that it has the potential---if you believe this is important of course, some don't---to help you find out more about yourself, your writing, and the world around you.
Because really, we've all got our own stories and we can't just spend time writing others' stories. It first starts with our own. To be a good writer, we must be good readers, and vice versa.
Anyway, that's my ramble of the day.
Yeah, I agree that it may be just like a phase right now, and I really hope it is because I'd love write and complete a multi-chapter story.
