Thank God no. But I do help my family with bills when I can. I spent all day moving stuff cause we learned we apparently only have until 3 Tuesday to be out. (The whole situation is done in shady circumstances.) And the old neighbours broke in and stole fireworks. We're just lucky that was all. BTW. it was a 7 year old who did it, after urging from his mother. Yeaaah. Its pretty bad.

And I need to tell my mom I've decided that its just going to be easier for me to go to college next year. When we don't have to worry about my car selfdestructing(the college is three hours away), moving, or the money problems nearly as badly.

So here's to the better! Wherever in Life it may fall

Yikes. I'm sorry. I'm dealing with some FAFSA BS, too. I realize what I wrote doesn't apply to ALL teenagers and there are some unfortunate souls who get a taste of financial BS all too soon. Hopefully you have family that's helping you out? Like...you're not all on your own trying to pay rent and fix your car and all those bills on just your income, are you? D:

Yeah, sounds like we're in a similar situation here. I wouldn't want to be a teenager again, either, but oh my GOD sometimes I wish I could go back to having other people pay my bills for me and just...not constantly stressing. This month I had to postpone my auto insurance payment AND get an extension on rent AND postpone the internet bill, because my husband and I haven't been getting shit for hours at work because both companies are slow and we had to pay for the new laptop we needed that we had to buy on credit because the old one will definitely not hold up for the rest of the semester and we had medical bills of my husband's that needed paying...this is all such bullshit. Ugh.

I wouldn't want to be a teenager again. I like that I can - if I have the means - to do things on my own. I rarely ever do... work part-time at minimum wage, can only work selected hours because my car is a douche and won't run, bills don't care though. They're still there, hungrily awaiting the next small pay check. Cry I just never thought being an adult would be... as irritating. Idk, I was delusional, too. I always thought the easy big goal was - get a decent job, have a good time, pay bills. Not be lucky to get ANY job and pray to be able to get majority of most bills paid. Shifty I made 160 this week and was overjoyed that now I can finish LAST months loan payment and by the end of bills I'll have a whole 69-79$ to spend on dun dun dun, groceries and personal care supplies.

I'm in the situation that even as a teenager, I still had to deal with adult issues. Cause times are tough and life's not fair. And. When I did get my fist job, they cheated me out of a raise (they hired me before I had my CDA, so I would have to be there 90 days before I'd get 9$ an hour) so I spent the summer making minimum wage, and I pretty much only have my paycheck from yesterday left over after a full summer. And we're currently working to figure out if I actually can even go to college in a couple weeks. Cause I have to verify my Fafsa, and apply for student loans.

All this and I'm still only 17. I won't be able to buy my own cold medicines and stuff for the first two weeks of college, how messed up is that?

Being 18 sucks. I'd rather never be an adult.

Yeah. I mean...overall, I'll still take adulthood over teenage years. I won't try to claim that being a teenager is better. How shitty would it be if your teenage years were as good as your life would ever get?! But I had all these delusions of how when I moved out I'd be in control of my OWN life and it turns out the only thing that controls my life is my job and my money and the thing that DOESN'T control my life is, you know, me.

Ugh. Trying so hard not to think about those. I'll have to start paying them off next June and I'm something like $35,000 in debt. It makes me want to cry.
