I know that feeling! A lot of the sort of stuff I most want to read is just not commonly written (or written at all!) Yeah, it can be excruciating going over all your past mistakes, like "Why did I write that?! Just why?!" But hey, at least you can look at it and see how much you've improved.

That's hilarious! I kinda want to find something that I wrote when I was that young, but I'd have to dig up old notebooks that are probably in storage somewhere at my mom's house right now. XD If I find anything though, I will definitely post another blog like this one.

Just the other day I stumbled onto some stuff I wrote when I was thirteen and A. I could barely read it because it's just so ridiculous and awful, and B. I couldn't stop laughing lmfao So glad I have improved drastically since then!

I re-read some of my stories because noooo one writes what I wanna read sometimes D: It's horrible! But seriously, find me someone that's written more romantic crap about Brian Molko and an OFC and I'll be the happiest woman on Earth.

I can't re-read my first stories on here. They're too cringe-worthy. Anything that a writer can do wrong, I did wrong. It's horrifying...

    @ hawker!
Exactly! It's such a mixed grab-bag of feelings! I do admittedly re-read my own stuff somewhat often, but I had not even thought of the stories that were that old in ages! It was such a head-trip to read like a six year old story; it was almost like looking into a time capsule that I had inadvertently left for myself.
It's definitely incredible to see the changes in our writing years on, even if it sometimes leaves us shaking our heads at past us.

I do this alllll the time, and it's a mix of amazement and cringeworthiness (is that a word?). It's so awesome to see how far we've come as writers and at the same time, it's a bit painful. XD
