Still Feeling All Mushy - Comments

Yeah my parents did too and now that my mom has gone back to work, it's still that way. Lol they have been married for 25 years. My boyfriend works midnight to 8 am and I work 11am to 8pm, do if we lives together we'd see each other more than the weekends, unless he sleeps all day.

Heh. My husband and I are married and live together, and we work weird hours so we only see each other on the weekends. =P He's gone to work by the time I wake up in the morning. I'm gone by the time he gets home. By the time I get home from work, he's still awake but he's got to go to bed in an hour or two and I usually have homework so I don't get to spend time with him. Even weekends are tough because those are our errand-running days.

Point is, I hear you. The funny schedules thing is rough. But I figure, my parents worked opposite shifts until I was 16 out of necessity and rarely saw each other outside of weekends, and they made it work, so I can too. And even though it sucks, I'm sure you and your boyfriend can work through it as well until you don't have to do that anymore. =) I agree, it definitely makes the time together that much better.

My boyfriend and I have been together for two years and three months. We've been talking about marriage a lot lately. I'm not really looking forward to have to really be an adult and pay bills, but I love him more than anything and I can't wait to be able to be with him more than two days a week. We both work weird hours so we only see each other on the weekends. I dislike it, but it makes the time we do get to spend together so much more precious.
