Yeah, they do. I'd rather just sit at home with some friends and jam to music. Kind of like I did yesterday. Speaking of which, I'm kind of in a band now with a friend of mine.
Aha, I enjoyed reading this. I miss you, my dear. :) I'm glad you had a pretty good time on your birthday though. That's what it's all about!! Just having some fun! Be it clean, or not. It's whatever the person celebrating wants and obviously, you chose not to get drunk and that's okay. :)
@ gatesguardian. Yeah, not remembering what happened when I got my wisdom teeth out freaked me the shit out so I really don't want to do anything that's going to have be consciously do that. lol
@ Xia; that's good though, because it's not fun having to babysit drunkies either. lol and not being in control is definitely scary. there's been a few times where i have woken up and haven't remembered things and that is NEVER fun.
@ ROVIX. In a very inappropriate looking fashion lol
@ rainbebez.tears. That's kinda how I felt my situation was...maybe it wasn't quite tst they wante to see me make an ass of myself but still. I'm just like you, the more you pressure me the more I refuse.
@ gatesguardian. I don't like losing control so I doubt I will ever get drunk. I might get a little tipsy, but I refuse to be in the trust of someone else. Getting drunk doesn't have any appealing sounding things with it so I think I'll pass. Thanks for the birthday wish!! :)
the "night life" is not for everyone. but i think you should get drunk at least once. lol my best friend was the same way. she never wanted to drink or get drunk... once we turned 21 she kind of turned into a party animal. but she's slowed down now. it just took a couple tries and i think she kinda turned into a mini-alcoholic. but i do have some friends that love the night life and don't even drink. sometimes it's nice to just relax and not worry about anything. you seem to have a strong enough head on your shoulders that you won't fall into peer pressure. if you don't want to drink, you don't have to. :) happy late 21st birthday! enjoy it. it'll go by quickly. i remember my 21st birthday and i will be 24 in february.
I know I wished you a Happy Day of Birth on Instagram, but I I hope you enjoyed some part of the experience!
I can somewhat relate to the pressure of drinking; I have a friend that has told me repeatedly that she wants to see me drunk. She has tried a few times, too... unsuccessfully. But the thing is, when she tries to force me to get drunk that makes me want to NOT get drunk. And the more she tries, the more reluctant and defiant I become. Because for one, the whole pushy thing just comes off as "I just want to see you make a total ass out of yourself so I can laugh at you for the night." ugh.
I don't know about you, but that isn't exactly what friends should be doing??
Yeah, they do. I'd rather just sit at home with some friends and jam to music. Kind of like I did yesterday. Speaking of which, I'm kind of in a band now with a friend of mine.
I COMPREHEND!
