For those countries no its not, I'm just in high school so I respect your opinion, I just wrote this because I was in a writting mood, and this topic had been discussed in my philosophy class so I gave it a shot. I definitely appreciate you commenting back and your input. I guess my ideas weren't as organized as I thought.

The problem with being polite to your oppressors is that it gives them ample opportunity to ignore you. That's essentially what happened when early feminists would ask the president for the right to vote. He brushed them off and ignored them until women came along that he couldn't ignore. And especially in middle eastern and Asian countries where women are treated like property, forced to become child brides and unable to drive, vote, or sometimes even show their faces, being polite isn't going to work. Especially if what they hear is coming from an American as a lot of countries already dislike our way of life. You can't ever give your oppressor the opportunity to ignore you or they will take it because ignoring a problem is always easier than fixing it for the people in charge.

Thank you for correcting me, that was a poor choice of words on my part, and I will consider revising that soon. I meant that they had a better conduct than the feminist of today, and personally I believe that being polite and respectful to yourself and others will get you further in the long run.

As a history major who studies the feminist movement, I can assure you the feminists who marched and protested were not considered classy by any standard of their time period. It's only now that we see them as heroes. Most men and quite a lot of women detested them. They were attacked in the streets. They were imprisoned to take away their credibility. No movement ever succeeded based purely on being nice and classy. It's usually raw and persistent willingness to keep fighting that results in gaining anything. Women's right to vote was contested for years, and feminists who were too classy to rock the boat weren't able to accomplish getting voting rights for women until the radical feminists refused to be quiet any longer.
