Eek, though I agree with that, Mibba has been ignoring user requests for more than binary genders for the upside of 5 years. I have female printed all over my info on the right of this comment, but I frequently prefer 'they/them' and if I want people to respect that, I have to up front say in every.single.conversation that I use they/them or whatever else I could be using.
I'd say, check peoples profiles. I always update my pronouns there, and am always trying to get cisgendered people to put their pronouns up - to normalise it, ya know. Like straight people saying they're straight, rather than assuming everyone will 'know' they're straight - except with gender it's a little more basic, since sexuality ain't everyone's business but pronouns are pretty important.
