And ugh, I absolutely love this post.

I've never been completely ashamed of my number, but I read a lot of sappy romance novels that leave me feeling like shit sometimes. They're ALWAYS virgins or completely inexperienced and it makes me feel like I have less to offer. So, thank you so much, for reminding me that it really is just a number!

mine is 20... i mean, i like sex. but as of right now, i have been with the same person for almost 2 years. my amazing boyfriend.

the majority of those 20 were 1 timers. some of them i didn't even like. i was just a 19 year old who didn't know what she liked or wanted. it was just a segment of my life. but right now i have somebody that i am in love with. and thankfully he's never judged me for that number.

2 and for a really long time, I was ashamed of my inexperience. This was also linked to feelings of not being wanted in general, because not only did I have no one who wanted my sex, I also felt that no one wanted me at all as a general rule. I also did not have a huge desire for sex almost zero, actually, and still don't, and that used to make me think that there was something wrong with me.

But I have moved past that. And it is indeed just a number. I am ashamed that, even now, people make others feel so horrible about how many sexual partners people have had and that they are more prone to do it when people have had MORE partners as opposed to LESS. Ugh.
