I went through something very similar- I got very ill at about 16. I had several kidney stones and I was in constant, agonizing pain. I went to seventeen doctors and eleven different medical centers (one doctor went so far as to suggest to my parents I was a drug seeker.) Between the ages of 16 and 21 I passed 37 kidney stones and had had 20 surgeries. I was finally diagnosed with one of the rarest forms of kidney disease. I was the 412th patient to ever be diagnosed. I know things seem awful- but don't ever stop fighting. Someone will listen. Someone will get your family the answers and the treatment you deserve.

I hope that you are better now. Thank you for the words of encouragement. She is going on the 30th to the doctor, but she is going to call them tomorrow to see if they can get it bumped up sooner.
