    A little late but whatever.

Before my DSLR, I had a Nikon Coolpix. I don't remember the exact model (I'm almost positive it was an S3500), but most of them are inexpensive and the one I got wasn't even $100. The only reason I got a new camera was because I needed DSLR to do what I wanted to do, not because the Coolpix wasn't a good camera. It took some really good pictures and it was 20 megapixels, which you won't even use all 20 so it was really good for an inexpensive camera.

Check out the Canon IXUS 130. I got issued one for work and it takes good quality pics for my purposes. And it can't be too expensive because the army tends to do things on the cheap where they can.

I wish I knew more about cameras. Coffee So I'll just answer the makeup-related questions.

    1. I use NARS Tinted Moisturizer mixed with MAC Matchmaster. I don't need super full coverage so I'd say this combo is about medium.
    2. I tried using a brush but now I use disposable foundation sponges since they're not overly expensive for a pack. I tried using the Avon Beauty Blender dupe years ago but I didn't see that much of a difference.
    3. Not full face makeup everyday, no. My everyday makeup includes Clinical Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, Bobbi Brown corrector + Clinique All About Eyes concealer with powder to set it, eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow, Missha gel eyeliner, sometimes mascara, and a lip balm or lipstick.
    4. Full face: moisturizer, eyeshadow + eyeliner, primer (sometimes), corrector + concealer, foundation, powder, cool-toned blush for contour, mascara.
    Everyday: see 3
    5. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.
    6. Lisa Eldridge, Jordan Liberty, Nikkietutorials, Emma Pickles.

I've got a Canon Ixus digital camera and, even though it was a gift, I know it's price is approximately your budget and that it's one of the best ones for that price range on the market (at least in NZ and about half a year ago now, I think). It takes really good quality pictures, has a great zoom and a ton of different settings. I'd definitely recommend it, if you guys have it over there!

the Fujifilm Instax Mini is less than that amount, I think, and I'm sure you can get it on sale. It's an instant camera, so you wouldn't have to pay for anything but the photo paper. I don't really like how expensive the photo paper is, though. You get 20 papers for almost equal the amount of money. It might be different for Americans, though. It's a good camera, and if you aren't planning on taking millions of photos per month I don't think it would be too expensive.

    1. I use sephoras foundation it's there makeup line I prefer liquid over foundation just because I think it leaves a better finish and it wasn't that expensive it was about $20 . I had power before but I didn't like it so I stick with liquid now.

2.I apply it with a beauty blender sponge it's way better then a brush and it applies it very good.

3.i don't wear makeup everyday because of my job I move around a lot and sweat so it would ruin my makeup but I wear it sometimes just not everyday. When I do wear it I wear light makeup which is foundation concealer blush lipstick nothing to big.

    4. When I apply makeup I first put my foundation on first primer then foundation then I do my eyebrows then my eyeshadow and liner and last I do my blush and bronzing. Nothing to big .

    5. The most I have spent on makeup is a lipstick from stilla that was 22 I always buy a lot when I go and buy makeup but I'm going to try MAC so that would be the next big thing.

    6. You have to see Kathleenlights I love her and she's so funny also slightly scented she's also very pretty and does her makeup really nice.

Makeup is a complicated thing lol but little by little we can learn

    1. I use Clinque even better skin tone. I have used both the cream and the liquid (I'm using the liquid now). The liquid is cheaper being 27 dollars and the cream is like 32. I tend to splurge on skin products to make sure I get good quality.

    2. I now use a real techniques expert face brush. I like it and it isn't that expensive. Before I was using an eBay foundation brush. It worked, but the bristles were shedding.

    3. Not everyday since I do to school. When I do I don't put too much. Like basic foundations then mascara and some neutral eyeshadow and a lip gloss.

    5. The most I remember is my Givenchy lipstick which was like 32 dollars.

    6. NikkieTutorials, Chrisspy, Desi Perkins, and MannyMUA are people I'm watching a lot right now.

edit: I am totally willing to buy 52 dollars for this primer because it makes all your makeup waterproof and I have a problem.

Hmm, maybe it's just a UK / Europe thing then? Think Or I hope it's a Europe thing, I don't fancy having to spend the next 6 months trying to find a decent foundation in Holland. Facepalm

Yeah, it was someone that recommended MAC to me, but I don't know what they have in their foundations because despite the fact that it's pretty much flawless coverage, it absolutely destroyed my face. I know a friend that had a similar issue where she did keep using it, but my face was actually so painful when I was using it. I think it was a combo of the standard breakout and me being allergic to something in the formula, but I honestly wouldn't recommend the foundation to anyone and I've been extremely wary of trying any of their other makeup just in case, which is a shame because they have some lovely lipstick shades.

I used to go for bright reds (I still do on occasion -- I have a Revlon red lipstick that is absolutely gorgeous on), but I bought this really deep pinkish-brown colour the other week to use as part of a grunge costume and that's all I've been wearing since the sixteenth. It's a cross between a burgundy and a brown and it's absolutely lovely.

    @ nearly witches.

I'm not sure I've ever seen Max Factor foundation here in the US. Think

Ah! MAC! Everyone recommends MAC - which, yeah, is definitely expensive. I've had an issue with them too (and so have a few other people I've asked). It's such gorgeous foundation - it covers so perfectly and it doesn't leave your skin looking dull and dry - but literally everytime I use it, I end up with a bad breakout shortly after. And I've found a lot of people who've had the same problem (but they just keep using it to cover up the breakouts. Yak)

For your bright lipstick, do you do bright reds or like deep burgundy?

Before I upgraded to my DSLR, I had a FujiFilm Finepix camera. It was relatively inexpensive, I got it for my birthday from my parents so I think it was about...£60 (so about $90) at the time. I know they brought out upgraded models, but I'm unsure as to how much they'll be. Mines was brand new when I got it, so that was the initial retail price for it. I still have it lying around somewhere (it's now virtually useless because it ended up covered in beer at a gig once) but when I was using it initially, it took some really good-quality pictures. I'd recommend anything by Fujifilm for inexpensive price tags and good quality. They really are a decent make. The only other brand I'd recommend would be Canon (which is what my DSLR is) but they are really expensive, at least they are over here anyway.

I used to have a little blender tool -- I always thought it looked like a little alien. I ended up losing it though, which didn't bother me too much. I'm not great at putting on foundation to begin with.

    Makeup questions

    - I can only really use one or two brands of foundation because I'm allergic to something in most foundations (as well as face paint -- thank you, sensitive skin!). Right now I'm using a cream foundation by Max Factor because it's the only drugstore type I could find that didn't give me a rash-y face. It is rather expensive, there isn't much in the tub and it's £12.99 every month to get a new tub, but it's worth it because I'm not spending as much money on face treatments to keep my skin from being inflamed.

    - The foundation I mentioned above comes with one of those little circle-pad applicator things, so I just use that. As I said, I'm terrible at applying foundation and it's probably the simplest way to do it.

    - I only wear makeup when I'm leaving the house for anything important (as in, I don't wear it when I'm going grocery shopping but I wear it pretty much at any other point in time) and it's usually only foundation, powder, eyeliner and either a bright or muted lipstick, depending on the occasion.

    - I tend to cleanse my face first, pop on a layer of moisturiser as a barrier and all that jazz. Then I throw on some foundation, some powder and some lipstick. Depending on whether I can find my eyeliner sharpener, I pop a line of black eyeliner on my bottom waterline because I don't have a steady enough hand to do eyeliner on my top lid. Whistle

    - I once spent £25 on a bottle of MAC foundation, only to find that I'm horrendously allergic to something in it. I used it for 2 months before realising that despite the fact that it covered up the rash, it really wasn't worth the pain.

    - I can't pretend that I've ever actively followed many, but I did used to follow a user called panacea81 or something, she was pretty good. Did a lot of celebrity makeup tutorials.
