Summer Classes + Music + Questions. - Comments

  • No problem! Also diggin' the matching Halsey theme as well Con I'm glad to hear that you're doing well + having a chill night! I got my BS in Biology, with a minor in psych, which is really what I'm more interested in having a career in. I need to go back to school and get my Masters, but I just can't afford it right now Facepalm

  • I feel ya so hard on the going back to older musical likes. I've been doing that for a good few months now. Unfortunately, most of my old music taste revolved around crappy 2006 pop-punk / pop-rock bands so I don't know if I should be proud of that. lmfao

    1. I am absolutely fantabulous. I'm actually bored to tears, but whatever, ha.
    2. The first Lord of the Rings book. I've been reading it for 3 years and I am determined that this year is the year that I will finish it. Weird I'm also reading The Cleansing, which is a run-of-the-mill crime novel set in England.
    3. The Long Midnight of Barney Thompson, which is this weirdly funny story about an accidental serial killer that lives in Glasgow. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't incredible either.
    4. My university doesn't offer them, or I absolutely would be. I am starting to try and teach myself Dutch though, via Duolingo, so that's about as much education as I'll be getting this summer. lmfao
    5. Simple Plan. I forgot they existed for a few months and then remembered and now I cannot stop listening to them. I'm also listening to a lot of Smashing Pumpkins and Alkaline Trio, but I've been listening to a lot of them for years so I don't know if that counts.

  • @ losing control.
Likely true about political science professors! He got super angry at a student in class last Thursday because he was saying something really ignorant. But he was trying so hard not to yell and it was kind of funny really.

    @ nefertiti;
You totally must listen to her! She is amazing. I would totally recommend Ghost or Hold Me Down. They are both absolutely amazing.

    @ bellamy blake
Aww. Thank you so much! I tried to make it pretty, but I was worried that it wouldn't end up how I wanted it to. I'm good, especially now that I have finally finished my homework due tomorrow! What degree did you get?

You all are reading such interesting sounding books!

  • Everyone is listening so Halsey and I have yet to and I feel left out!

    1. Kinda tired, but good.
    2. I just finished a book today but I'll probably dive into "Down the Rabbit Hole" by Holly Madison (a former playmate) next.
    3. Landline by Rainbow Rowell
    4. Nope. Just straight chilling this summer lol. Probably will next summer, though.
    5. Right now, really into "1999" by Active Child. Lion Babe are good artist as well as The Internet (I swear their album is the best I've heard this year thus far).

  • Shweeet layout, btdubbs Con Halsey, MO, and Melanie are all friggin' goddesses Twitch

    1. I'm doing fine, how are you?
    2. Nothing really. I just reread Rose and the Beast: Fairy Tales Retold by Francesca Lia Block for a oneshot I'm working on, but that's about it.
    3. Nah, I'm done with school for the time being. I got my degree two years ago Weird And that makes me feel hella old.
    4. Lately, I've been obsessed with my Vance Joy station on Pandora, so things like Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Milky Chance, Of Monsters and Men, James Bay, mellow stuff like that. Also been on a SoMo cover binge Shifty
