Well she did go to push Joffrey off the walk way and kill him but was stopped, so there was that. But the difference between her and Margaery is that Margaery had been taught this her entire life by her grandmother. Sansa had been taught how to be the proper lady - her courtesies, how to look pretty and not been exposed to the harsh nature of life. That's why King's Landing is so foreign to her because she realises that princes can be complete bastards, that queens can be conniving and that knights aren't chivalrous. (By the way, that damsel trope? She grows out of that --- but series five's writing disappoints with her)

The Unsullied have been taught that way of life since they were infants - they probably wouldn't be able to actually function much without it. She can be smart but she's too arrogant, too "it's MINE" like a child. She needs to mature and realise that Westeros isn't her home and that no one will flock to her just because she has a Targaryen name, dragons or no dragons.

Margaery has everything - beauty, wits, cunningness. She can (and does) make the smallfolk love her and knows how to get what she wants without harming anyone or threatening them. I root for her to become Queen.

That's true about Sansa! I just wish there was a little something more to her character than the damsel trope, just waiting to be rescued. Maybe if she were as cunning or charismatic as Margaery? Who knows.

I thought that about Daenarys too; I figured the Unsullied didn't leave her service because they were all like "Okay... but what would we do then?" But I still feel like she has the potential to make a good queen. She's a smart girl, but I still kinda want Margaery to be queen too Mr. Green Marg is just such a beauty and a sweetheart, not to mention how good she is at getting what she wants as well (to be queen)

But there's not much Sansa can do. She's a prisoner to the Lannisters, unable to leave King's Landing and has to do what she's told. They forced her to marry Tyrion, Joffrey has had her beaten, and threatens to rape her as well. At any moment she could be put to death - she's trying to survive in a place where she's surrounded by enemies and people who abuse her and slaughtered her family. You definitely see her develop better in the books, but show!Sansa does develop up until the end of series 4. I want to rid series 5 Sansa from my mind because the writers developed her and then tore it away from her for no actual reason. Grr

Dany doesn't know how to rule. Even with advisers, she makes really bad mistakes. She think she's a liberator and at the start, she is, but she doesn't implement a different system - being slaves is all the slaves know, and she doesn't try and introduce them to a way of life. It's basically "you're free" and that's it. It doesn't matter how many slaves she releases unless she helps them get a new life -- as it is, many of the slaves go back to being slaves because they don't know what to do/have no other means of income. As for her dragons, yeah, as they grow bigger she doesn't know how to control them. And that's shown in the show.

If she went over to Westeros, I don't think she'd get much support. If she had been Rhaegar's daughter, then I think she would have, but she isn't. She's the Mad King's daughter.

I just feel like show-Sansa has so much potential!! But they're like making her such as weak link. I mean, she never does anything, she has stuff done to her. I hope that changes soon, as I haven't gotten through season 3 yet, but I feel like the show's just portraying her character in a bad light. I mean, she isn't even playing the game of thrones! She's basically a damsel in distress trope, I feel, though I may be wrong!

I think Daenerys would be a fantastic queen, I mean she's caring and compassionate. She's released hundreds of thousands of slaves and she'll probably release more! She's very charismatic and compelling and, as far as I've seen in the show, she can control her dragons pretty well (e.g., when she attacked Astapor). But I gotta admit, she's pretty naive and inexperienced considering she's been in Essos her whole life.

Woaaaaah, the moment you mentioned "weak" in the same paragraph as Sansa, I knew I had to comment. Sansa is my girl and she is so incredibly brave because she's a prisoner who is humiliated and beaten and uses the only shield she knows (her courtesies as a noble girl) and okay so the show wrecked her in series five (still NOT over that File) but book!Sansa is so good and I can't understand the hatred she gets because she's learning how to play the game of thrones by playing it, not to mention she's a child who starts her period during the show and books, which shows how young and naive she clearly is at the beginning.

Though I'm so glad you're a Margaery lover too. I want her to be queen. tehe

Arya becomes better than a swordswoman, jsyk. File

Jon Snow and Ygritte. I never warmed much to her until the end, but by then it was too late. But wait until the later seasons - that's when the Wall gets interesting.

Bran's a warg and the books definitely have more detail because they can show his thoughts more clearly, but unfortunately neither show nor books have really gotten to the gritty bits of him and his visions.

Honestly, sure, Dany has dragons but they're dragons she can't control and she isn't actually an all that great ruler, certainly not one that Westeros needs, to be quite honest...Shifty

....sorry, I'm a big fan of the books and the characters of the show (can't even say the show itself because the writing has gone downhill for the past two series). XD
