Maybe...either way I totally agree, I figured she would have been smarter too. If that didn't set off an alarms, the state of the house should have and it didn't so...haha.l My friend and I were like, "Um, hello! Do you think that's normal?!" Hahaha.

I figure she was supposed to be kinda annoying. Like, they weren't after a strong independent type. It wouldn't have worked out for them. Well it didn't anyway I guess. I sorta wanted her to be smarter. Like I had faith in her at the very start, this woman with certain ideals and a strong head with a goal. And then she met Thomas and her mind left her. I giggled so hard when he was saying how he waited out in the rain for her father to leave. Like uhhh.... creepy! Alarm bells!

I didn't find it scary, thigh the slightly gory parts made me cringe cause I'm a baby when it comes to blood, ha. I didn't feel bad necessarily for Thomas because, like you said, he knew exactly what he was doing, but I did feel bad for him because clearly his sister fucked him up pretty badly. Like he was pretty screwed up, and with good reason too! I didn't like Edith very much, she was rather annoying at times, and you're so right, she totally forgave him too quickly. His character was sooo great and there was just so much more to him than I was expecting, although I shouldn't have expected anything less considering Guillermo Del Toro is pretty damn phenomenal and I mean when isn't one of Hiddleston's characters great?

The costumes and the set made me die, omg. Swoon Like I was in love. I forgot how gorgeous he was too, and I don't even know how it's possible to forget that, haha.

    A+ gif usage lmfao

I loved Crimson Peak but not for the reasons I thought I would. I didn't find it very scary though a particular scene towards the end (you can probably guess the one) made me slouch into my boyfriend's shoulder asking when it was over. I also didn't really feel sorry for Thomas in the end and thought he was still accountable for his actions because he knew what he was doing was bad and yet he was still doing it up until it was too late. I thought Edith was too forgiving of his actions too quickly. Though his sister did fuck him up pretty thoroughly, so there's still that on his side. I loved his character.

But the COSTUMES and the SET and OMFG. What the hell, Tom? Has he always been this gorgeous!? How did I forget!?

I loved that part of it.
