Nope. Its always a good idea to teach them sign language young so they can communicate with you better until they can actually vocalize their needs/wants.
And we have a large deaf community where we're at so its never a bad thing to know.

I'm considering entering your first contest, but I need to write some entries for other contests before I dive into that. I don't know Poe that well, so I would want to do research before I try to write anything
