    My favorite female author?
    J.R. Ward.
I feel that she's amazing and true to herself in her writing; she left her high powered job as Chief of Staff at a hospital to write full time. She aspired to be something and achieved it.

    My favorite female singer?
    Taylor [fucking] Swift.
I'm not even going to lie. I'd bleed myself dry for this girl. She's amazing, and talented. She does a lot of humanitarian work without all the media hooha surrounding it. She's my spirit animal.

    Hmmm let's see:
JK Rowling, like everyone else said
    Meg Cabot
    Sophie Kinsella
and I can't think of any more sadly lmfao

    Musicians:
    Nicki Minaj
    Rihanna
    Beyonce
    Tinashe
    Leighton Meester
    Missy Elliott
    Jennifer Lopez
    Sia
    Britney Spears
Florence Welsh from Florence + the Machine
Daughter (whoever the lead singer is)
Hilary Duff (to satisfy my childhood self)
and that's all I can think of. I just like all of them for having catchy ass music but as well as being great feminist role models to, like, the world (or at least most of them are, not entirely sure lmao)

Authors: Leigh Bardugo, Marie Lu, Elizabeth Wein, Libba Bray, Maggie Steifvater, Jandy Nelson - they're just good/talented authors and from what I've seen, good people too.

Artists: I can't think of many independent artists aside from Lorde and Susanne Sundfør, but Elena Tonra from Daughter, Lauren Mayberry from CHVRCHES, and Hannah Reid from London Grammar - they all have really great voices (to me, at least) and Susanne Sundfør is a very talented songwriter.

    EDIT: AND LINDSEY STIRLING YES.

    authors:
+rainbow rowell In Love i fall in love with everything she writes ever and she's so good and she's just great.
+ rachel cohn! not just because she's a co-author of nick and norah's infinite playlist HAHA she always crafts her characters well. i love them, anyway, and without good characters, everything falls apart for me, so she's great.
+ meg cabot: she's got a good, humorous tone in her writing and i remember reading her work when i was a lot younger and good times are attached to her books.
+ maggie stiefvater! another nostalgia case, but i remember reading shiver / linger / forever the moment each book dropped and being sucked in. she's a wonderful writer and i'm just in love with the majority of what she writes.
    + j.k. rowling because dude.

    artists:
+ evanescence / amy lee: my wife can do no wrong i absolutely adore amy lee. she's soooo talented and she seems so nice and grounded and she's beautiful and she's great and. ahh. In Love
+ janelle monae! wonderful, wonderful, fun, great singer, so pretty, so good.
+ lynn gunn (pvris) / hayley williams (paramore): (i always put them together and lord knows why lmfao)
+ fifth harmony! they all seem so sweet and appear to be hard workers and they're just great.
+ lindsey stirling. her talent is insane, and she's pretty funny, too. tehe
+ sharon den adel (within temptation) / tarja turunen / simone simons (epica): (i always group them together, too, they just remind me so much of one another) their vocal ranges. Cheese they are ah-ma-zing.

that's all i can think of at the moment. it's time for me to stop using the word "great" in this comment because it's 8 in the morning and i'm pretty sure it's tired of being typed out. Facepalm

SIDE NOTE but i wanna play undertale so bad. Cry i don't even have it, but i want it so so bad. for now, i guess i'll have to live vicariously through let's players. lmfao

For my female authors, the straight automatic answer is J.K Rowling. She just answers the 'why' straight up. File I also love Susanne Collins. I'm a big fan of The Hunger Games and really like how she portrayed Katniss. Sure, the last book was very rushed at the end and she killed some needless characters (*coughFinnickcough*), but though she's not perfect, the trilogy is great.

I LOVE Philippa Gregory. She writes historical novels and I'm a total History lover, especially the Tudors and all the monarchs we've been through, and she writes about them. Same with Jean Plaidy (though that's a pen name and her real name was Eleanor Hibbert). I recently got her Tudor saga and oh my god, I am so in love. Cheese

The perhaps an odd author would be Lucy Christopher, who I have only read one novel of, which was Stolen. It might be a 'young adult' novel but I absolutely loved it. She made me feel so much, especially about a character I shouldn't have, and I was so conflicted by the end of the novel because though the character did something bad, I wanted everything to be okay for them even though I knew that wouldn't be right.

I love her because her writing style has a great flow and easy to read and she usually makes me laugh so. Enjoyable.

Singers / musicians (apologies in advance if this list is long):
    Destiny's Child
    Beyonce
Spice Girls (my favourite band when I was a kid. How can you not love them)
Azealia Banks (As a person she's kind of annoying but I love her music)
Selena Gomez (I don't think she's the greatest singer ever but she is a kind person and seems very genuine. I love her.)
    Avril Lavigne (SHE'S GREAT)
    Pink (DITTO)
Gwen Stefani (she's like, in her 40's and is the epitome of coolness. Goals)

I think what they all have in common is that they're confident and not afraid to be themselves, which I really admire. OH. I also really like the Black Eyed Peas, but I like them because their music gets me so hype.
