I don't take any medicine. There's this liquid stuff I buy to help me go if I get really blocked but it never gets that bad for me now.

My granny and mom have IBS-D. Granny is passed away now but things like chocolate really triggered hers. They got to where they avoided certain foods altogether. Hopefully your Dr. Can find something. Unless the other Drs. Took stool samples and checked it for parasites, they may have over looked them.

My stomach actually does feel heavy, and there's like a pressure on my left side, as well. It's so frustrating. Do you take any kind of medicine to help you with your IBS?

I don't think I have any fevers or chills. I was actually considering whether or not I could have contracted a bacteria or parasite but none of the doctors I talked to said anything about that so I guess they don't think I did. I mean, I'm mostly normal except for the fact that I get stomach aches if I eat the wrong thing and my bowel movement is sort of irregular. I'm hoping the GI doctor can help me because I really want to enjoy my summer. Disgust

I have no experience myself but I'm studying to be a doctor and I met some patients who struggle with it. Its no walk in the park...

I think its a great idea to reach out to people who experience the same disease.

Yes. I have IBS but IBS-C with constipation. So mostly my stomach feels heavy because when I have flare ups, it's hard for me to pass stool. When it's been a few days of me not passing sufficient enough, I can only eat light things such as soup or very little cause my left side will hurt. Drinking water and eating more fiber helped me but if you have loose stool, fiber won't help. Might make it worse.

Do you have any fever or chills now? Food poisoning can be serious and if you contracted a bacteria or parasite, that stuff will linger and continue to make you sick unless treated correctly. I learned about all the food borne illnesses a few months ago when I took my ServSafe class.

Hopefully whatever you have gets better!

I don't actually suffer from IBS, but I am lactose intolerant and have an unquenchable love for dairy. So I can totally relate with a few of those unruly symptoms! Curse our uncooperative bodies!
