Honestly, fuck Malcolm and Tyler because like woahh, that was an aggressively patriarchal assessment of your body and that was uncool of them especially since they're supposed to at the very least be good to friends. Like in my head, I get your dad. Or at least, I get how your dad is because my fiance is hispanic and I know he thinks he's not homophobic but he has told me multiple times that his daughter most certainly will never be a lesbian which is not his decision to make but that's a fight we might come to later in life.
