What Am I Writing For? - Comments

Hi there! I just recently found you through the take a comment leave a comment on my homepage. I'll be honest, I just randomly clicked on your photo link to your story Hurricane that the mods have posted and I fell in love with it!

I've been looking into your other stories because I really enjoy your writing style, it's refreshing and extremely well-done; you are an incredible writer! I just finished reading Piece In Our Time which I absolutely loved! I am very excited to read the sequel as soon as I get a chance.

I'm sorry you're feeling uninspired at the moment. I hope you can find your spark again soon because I've become a committed reader for life and would hate to see you stop. I adore your style and imagination so much that I had committed to reading all your stories even before seeing this blog post.

Right now I'm focusing on the first two. I've sort of lost inspiration for "Tornado" and "Hurricane" is on a hiatus for a bit. My grammar may be a bit off, but I always try and look through it. I hope you enjoy the plots though! Thank you so much.

I know where you're coming because I feel that way sometimes. Especially when many others get like 50 recs and I get like 5. But i write for myself, not for the numbers.

You know, I think I need to start thinking that way. I've always been an advocate of "I write for my readers" so I always pay attention to comments and which chapters got read the most, so I know what is liked and what maybe isn't as popular. Maybe I need to just start writing for myself and because I like it.

I think because "Piece in Our Time" and "Hurricane" did so well I had really high expectations for my stories and how they'd do. I'm just easily discouraged, and I need to work on that.

Honestly, I love your stories. i can admit i'm a silent reader but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them. Write for yourself though. Not for what anyone else thinks.
