At this point, it's just embarrassing for that ex-friend 'cause she keeps bringing it up and trying to make us look bad. The other people she tried to convince to be on her side eventually realized how right we were and left her ass. The same will probably be true for your ex-friend, at least. So there's some joy in that

Exactly, it's not worth the stress. We put up with our ex-friend for literally 21 years and it just boiled over at one point and we had to get rid of her. The annoying thing though is that she brought in her parents and now her parents hate us and have started drama with our parents

I read this earlier but didn't have the chance to respond. But I so know the feelings. I recently just ended two toxic friendships with people I used to work with. I stupidly let them borrow money from me and they never payed me back or ever planned to. I ended up just saying fuck it, and blocked them. They were causing too much drama and almost got me fired from my job. It wasn't worth the stress and now I'm doing so much better.

Yo I feel this. I just recently got rid of a very toxic friend that I've known for almost a decade. People would always point out he treated me horribly and a lot of people stopped being friends with him because of the shit he's done to them. Finally I got tired and told him I can't do it anymore. I'm always hearing back from multiple people that whenever he tells people what happened between us he tries to rationalize himself to make him seem the victim and me the bad guy. It's frustrating, especially since I stopped being friends with him for the same reason others have dropped him.
