Apparently the worst is to come tonight/now, but I think it's further north. Which is lucky, but it sucks for them D:

It's typhoon season over here in Guam, just hours away, and there has been thunder, lightning, and of course wind and rain. A tropical storm is headed west and didn't hit us directly, thankfully. But the electricity cut out a couple of days ago for nearly an hour and I was like really?!

I'd be so freaked out. To get into my apartment, you have to scan a card and type in a passcode so I would've been locked out. Also, I don't live near my family, so it would've been pretty freaky! I can definitely imagine the accidents.

It certainly felt that way! Everyone was leaving work early and none of the traffic lights were working so there were several accidents. And the trains and trams stopped working. And then our networks went down lmao.
At first they were saying it might be 2 days to get it backup up. That would have been insane.
As of yet the worst of the storm is yet to come. D:

That's insane! It's like a the start to a lot of apocalyptic movie/shows where the power goes down forever! The whole world stops.

I'm a candle snob. It's gotta be the real thing or nothing :P I have these antique brass candle holders that you can carry around with non-scented candles in them to protect my bird's lungs. :P

I don't know if you have them in Australia, but what about those LED Candles? I have a few and I love them.

We won't be :P My issue is that I shouldn't really use candles as I have parrots in the house, and I can never find a torch haha
