Honestly, I do that too! My search history is super weird so it's a good thing I keep a password on my computer lol. I really like reading stuff like that because like you said, there are certain words that work better and just sound unfff.
And as for the "the story doesn't sound as good when I write it down" thing, I feel like that too. It's impossible to get the story out of your/my head perfectly every single time. Sometimes there's scenes that work amazingly and sometimes there's just something off about it. But, it's still good.
It took me a while to figure out that I don't think my writing is as great as it can be because I see a perfect version of it in my head and it's my writing. Other people, however; are seeing it for the first time and they don't have a perfect idea of it. Trust me, we're happy with what we get.
You could write "Cas kisses Dres" and I'd still be like YASS BOY YASS. I'm a lost cause when it comes to this story. Everything is wonderful (and trust me, if something was weird or grammatically incorrect or something, I'd let you know. I'm one of those in-depth type of commenters).
