This is something I've dealt with too. Mostly it comes down to school/grades and writing for me. I'm good at school, but I've definitely screwed up too many times. I always try to be the best, get the best grades, get into the honors college, graduate early, etc, but it always feels like it's still not enough.

This is also something I've been struggling with with writing too. I think I'm a pretty decent writer, but there are writers who are so much more amazing than me. And if there are better writers than me, then why would anyone want to read what I'm writing? Why would anyone want to publish it?

I constantly try to improve, but it's near impossible to change your style/voice of writing. It's always going to sound like me. I just have to keep learning and be aware of what I want to change.

Everyone feels like this about many different things. It's tough not too feel put off by how good other people are at things.

    You are definitely not alone.

Just yesterday I thought my writing was pretty alright only to start reading a new author on this site and realize I didn't like how I was writing anything. My writing seemed like complete sh*t compared to hers, but I've discovered the key is that if not being as good as someone else bothers you then working hard on that particular thing to get better is the best solution rather than letting it upset you.

But as far as writing goes, there will always be someone better and then someone else better than that person. So on and so forth. But there's plenty of room in the world for great writers - even if some are better than others.

    Hope that helps Mr. Green
