I'll take a look at that story! I think a number of people have recced that one so I am excited!
For Duolingo, this is my profile. I've kinda been stuck though, as of late. I just feel like I'm not retaining the most recent lessons so I am not moving forward in my learning. Think

there really is no typical day. every day is different. emergencies come in and you never know what the outcome will be. clients can be very rude and techs get the blunt of it. so you have to have tough skin. I've gotten bitched at for taking a dogs temperature. I've been rudely told to read the pets chart when asking a client a question. But euthanasia is the toughest part of the job. One weekend I was the tech for three euthanasias and they were back to back and they were all cats. Im a crazy cat lady so that killed me.Those and the older patients make for a draining day. But seeing kittens and puppies and healthy pets always make for a great day. And seeing pets that survived parvo and heartworm fills your heart with so much joy.

    Ahaha thank you! XD

Well you're in luck! If you want to see some of the houses I've made (though the ones i"ve uploaded to the gallery aren't that great), you can search the sims 4 gallery under the #GhoulScouts and #HinaWilliams hashtags. Cute i recently gotten into designing houses on the sims 4.

    @ Hina;
Hinaaaa. Missed you too. Yeah you're forgiven my brain doesn't work properly until I've been up for an hour.

I used to love Sims but the last time I played I really only just liked designing houses haha

Sweet, I'll have to check that out. Also if you haven't read it I definitely recommend Trajectory of Planes by PoeticMess. I'd link you to it but I don't have it copied. You can probably find it on my profile though.

AHhh! What's your username? I love having DuoLingo buds. I took Spanish in high school but I was a shit student so I really just know how to say a few words.

    And thank you!

    @ american satan.
I wish people were more considerate, but oh well nothing we can do about that.

Could you maybe tell me what makes it hard and draining? Obviously if you have to put an animal down and whatnot, but if you could give me like a general overview of a typical day that'd be nice.

    And thank you.

Blaaaaake! I've missed you! I'm glad you're doing well! For the most part. And people quitting without warning just sucks. Arms Forgive me, I'm tired and I just woke up about twenty minutes ago. Shifty

I've been doing pretty good, just been playing a lot of sims. Sims sim sims sims. That's been taking over my life. lmao

We had a few people(already) quit last minute effective immediately. It really pisses me off, and I just don't get it. I always worked a final two weeks before I quit my job. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Your boss sounds awesome for giving you a gift.

I have been doing alright. Up and down, but I'm still overall content.
I am rereading IT by Stephen King.

Good luck in your program! Hope to see more of you around. Arms

Wow, that is such a inconsiderate ex-coworker. Sorry you had to go through that.

If you wanted stories from here, I have a Recommendations List going that I will periodically update as I find more lovely stories on here. Very Happy

And ah! a Duolingo buddy!! I am currently trying to learn Spanish; I figured it would come in handy in my chosen career. Due to my location, the next on my language list is probably Portuguese.

Good luck with your Vet tech program! Clap

I'm sorry you had to do that. I had an ex coworker quit last minute which meant me having to do doubles and let me tell you something working doubles in an animal clinic sucks.

And as someone that went to school to be a vet tech, it's hard and emotionally draining. Just prepare yourself. You have to take the good with the bad. But good luck.
