Whenever people ask me when I'm having kids, I reply, "As soon as I can afford to buy a bigger freezer." They usually get the hint and never ask me again ;)
@ house calore. Ugh. That's awful. Tell her you're worried about her need to guilt trip people.
My cousin once asked me when I was going to have kids at my bridal shower, while her little demons were destroying my house. I looked right at her and simply said "My kids are at the boarding kennel so yours can be here". She left me alone for a hot minute, at least.
@ TheDevilsHalo; See that's just so wrong. I have a thing about telling people how to be parents as well, which is the category that totally falls into.
Lol, we’re trying to have a baby and I still get asked that question. I’m like, calm your Ta-Tas! It will happen when it happens. My sister in law is pregnant with her last baby, and it’s a boy as well. She’s already been asked if she’s gonna try for a girl. She said two is enough for her. My husband and I want a big family, but we will take what we’re blessed with.
When my best friend had her daughter she kept bugging me about having kids. Even now she bugs me saying she's "worried about me". She knows I've never wanted kids but because she has two I suddenly need kids. My thoughts on kids hasn't changed and never will. That's why I'm perfectly content with my cats.
Both Scenarios are tough, but once you have a kid you get the 'You don't want her to be an only child' or 'It can't be nice for her to have no one to play with at home, she needs a sibling... that'll solve that issue'.
Some people are just way too nosey for their own good!
Seriously though! I want kids, but this question still annoys me, because even when I give them of my answer of "Not anytime soon, I'm aiming at my mid/late thirties when I might have my life together" they then tell me how old that is. Bish! It's my ovaries! I'll do as I please with them.
Hahahaha! Some people keep asking me why I choose to be asexual and what even is asexual and why I refuse to date and have kids. LOL. Honestly it's no one's business who's dating who or if they're gonna have kids. People nowadays seem to want to avoid their own problems and focus on other people's problems instead because other people's "lives" are so much better than their own.
Haha, thank you :) And good luck if people keep asking you that kind of stupid question!
