I hate when that happens! I’m seriously thinking about making that Beta Reader/Critique Exchange on the Writers forum. I think the basis will be what you said. Basically pair two writers up together to make a commitment to one another to overview eachother’s work. It might help writers stay motivated as well. OR...it could be like a weekly thing (sort of like an Writing club, but online) where everyone meets once a week to share a piece that they want critiqued. And the members can all leave feedback. Idk if I’m reaching here, but it’s at least a shot lol I just have to check the forums to see if there is anything like this already, and if so, just try to reintroduce it!

And I wouldn’t mind a small critique forum, but critique partners are to oversee the development of the story from first draft to final in order to garner a better view of the story. Fresh eyes are never a bad thing, but that’s what beta readers are for.

Really good to read about your journey while you were away. (I can totally relate to it). KEEP to working on your book! I feel like there should be some kind of forum on Mibba where what you stated about getting someone to read over your stuff and give honest feedback and vice versa should be in place. I’m not sure if we have one or not, but we should because that’s helpful! I’m horrible at making commitments so I won’t even try to frustrate you. But I feel like there are some Mibbians out there who would be able to beta read for you and you for them. Just finding them is the hard part, because Mibba has still been pretty slow
