Yeaj its one i plan to publish. For the longest. I had no laptop n was using my phone. So i was putting it on here and it got some readers. But i reached my wordd goal already n still habe about 5or6 chapters left. So I was wondering

Chapter length, to me, doesn't really matter too much. If you write 700 words and you think that's enough for one chapter, then you don't have to add more. Same with longer lengths.

However, if you post it on a writing website, I feel it's best to keep it short than longer, because unlike books, it's harder to just put a bookmark on the paragraph where you left off if you don't have time to finish the chapter all at once. But if you're going to publish it, go crazy!

they're arent any specific guidelines though. each article says 'typical', but i believe some are longer. Like some books have chapters that are at least 12-15 pages long. so i don't think there's a guideline for word count.

If it's for fun, I'd say do whatever you want. But if you're wanting to attract readers, I'd keep it mid-length, and if you want to publish someday, you've got to meet those guidelines. Otherwise, your choice. As long as it breaks off at a logical place before moving to the next one, I think long is fine.
