    Do it! And definitely pack a lunch. Presuming 5 days a week at $10, you're saving $50 a week! That's $200 a month!

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD PLAN. I might just steal that! I think it'll also help that I plan to pack lunch everyday rather than spend about $7-10 a day on lunch Facepalm hopefully, from this, I can go a week without spending a dime tehe

Do what I did and open a savings account. I put down $100 balance and an automatic transfer of $25 per month, plus whatever I can manage to squirrel away. I've found that saving money is easiest when it's unconscious, and you don't have to think about it. I would love for us all to be a little richer in 2019
    Very Happy

The saving money goal—that caught my attention because I have the same goal (and I always seem to fail at saving money no matter what I do lmfao) every year.

But good luck and hope you have a great 2019!

1984 is such an incredible book, oh man. I didn't think I'd like it when I read it. My English teacher suggested it to me and he used to read all of these weird and obscure books and so did I, but the way he described it made me feel really bleh about it. I'm so glad I read it though. It's up there with Memoirs of a Geisha and Fahrenheit 451 as one of my favourite books of all time.

I completely know your pain! I also wanted to be an English teacher! I think I would still want to be if I had more faith in the school systems to allow teachers to teach instead of monitor exams. Sigh.
Thank you! I definitely enjoy writing.

I almost became a social worker, though, and a high school science teacher, wildlife biologist, librarian, illustrator, etc. I've been all over the place!
lmfao You understand my pain! I thought about becoming a massage therapist, English teacher, Certified Nurse, and a whole bunch of other stuff Facepalm

That’s so cool that you’re going to major in graphic design!! Although I also think you have a real talent with words, as well!!

That's totally understandable. I go to a community college too, mostly for financial reasons, but also because I think it's a good way to get the hang of things before being thrust into university life.
I'm working on an Associate of Arts transfer degree, and then I'm going to major in Graphic Design. I almost became a social worker, though, and a high school science teacher, wildlife biologist, librarian, illustrator, etc. I've been all over the place!

I studied Creative Writing once and then just plain old English for another semester. I kept switching my major, because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I also kept dropping out. Now I’m in community college to get certificates and a Associate Degree in childcare (I sort of went backwards in a way). I’m happier in the two year program, though for some reason because it’s not exactly the pressure of a four year. I’m going to try to stick with it! What are you studying?

    Thanks :)
What did you end up studying, if you don't mind my asking?
Yes, it's encouraging to see small successes pile up into something you can be proud of.

I think it was super smart that you waited to start College! I wish I would have done the same thing, because I ended up doing exactly what you feared when I just jumped into it straight out of High School. I really like your list and your quote is so true. It’s going to take step by step to achieve the success we want by the end of 2019! <3
