ahaha yeah that's true. I'm just glad that a lot of my more fantasy-ish OCs that I made can be remolded into OC for original stories. And I definitely need to start working on more original stories. But at least fanfiction does help with our writing skills because we can still learn about plot and character development.

I fully support you branching out and working on original ideas! I think all of us have a habit of putting more time and energy in other people’s works when really we culd be working towards using those ideas for world’s of our own. I guess it is just easier to get inspired and work with already established worlds like how you’re having a problem to work out the one for your original ideas. But it’ll be worth it in the end when you have a creation that’s purely yours and that you made. I love fanfiction but it doesn’t hurt for us writers to step out of that box and work on creating our own babies
