I guess she was also. It was something that really upset me. I know it shouldn't have. I wanted to be open and free with her, you know? But I understand her point of view, I guess. Yes that is how I see it about relationships, you know? You shouldn't feel embarrassed or afraid of the person you are with, because they always have your back.

Me too, honestly he gives me the relationship I want and need. I know and I thank you, I just needed to get it off my chest about how I felt and how it went. There were good days and there were bad days. It's like every relationship but I honestly was miserable and I am surprise it went on for five years. It's a change, it's weird not being together but it's only because we have been together for a long time. I was used to living with her and her kids, now there are no kids and an apartment.

I can only guess she was or must have been embarrassed as to what others would say about two girls dating, especially you two, but honestly it's her loss that she didn't want to show your relationship to the world and revel in it because most couples would be proud to show themselves in a relationship each other.

But I'm glad you're in a much better relationship, while I don't know what you're relationship with your ex-girlfriend was like besides what you said in this blog, i do know that no matter what, she'll always be apart of you because you shared a lot of memories and feelings with her and it may hurt to think about those memories and the feelings associated with them, but it never does anyone any good to dwell on them. As long as she's finally happy and as long as you're happy with your boyfriend then I think that's all that really matters.
