I don't know if this helps, but I've been able to find a few active authors & stories by using google. I type in something about Mibba and look for recent blog entries that show up in the Google search results. Usually my search is regarding authors & members asking about Mibba.

I found two authors this way who appear to still be active (updates were about a month ago or under.)

This. This is exactly how I feel about Mibba, and why it's so hard to keep coming back and see the site break down bit by bit. I've been trying to track down active users and stories I can sub to, but it's so difficult to fund them by simply browsing the site.
