I avoided the journals today, simply because I know that a great number of them would be happy b-days to Gerard, and I didn't want to read the same thing over and over again. (I 'celebrated' it and made mention of it over on my LJ; I had no reason to do so here, as well.) That said, it's really not that difficult to AVOID something if you know you won't like it. Just avoid the journals for a day or two if you didn't want to see the b-day journals, people...

Thats kinda what I was getting at, but almost not. I have no clue actually. But if people would read what you said, they might chill because you make a lot more sense then what most do.

Yeah. I do agree that people need to calm down about it. The journals complaining about the Gerard journals are just as obnoxious. They flood the other things away just as well. I mean, I agree with them that the numerous number of the journals is annoying, but then- so are theirs.

And there isn't a reason to go off on the fans about it either. But still, I just wish the fans would realize how outrageous they're being at the moment. I'm not going to bitch at them about it, but when the topic comes up, I'm still going to state my opinion on it.

I think both sides of it need to chill out, really.

Yes, I agree with everything your saying. Although it slight contridicts what I am saying.
People should give it a rest, because there are a TON of them, but I just don't see why people yell at them about it. The 'Gerard Birthday Journals' are over with in a few ours, so those that are showing ignorance about it should calm down.

But they could still wish him a happy birthday in their own words, in their own way, in a comment. Comments aren't restricted or limited. Someone can still say everything they want to say.

And other people could just join in the conversation.

As opposed to having them all spread out, and some getting comments, and others not, and etc. It just seems outlandish and ridiculous. It's also hard to ignore them when there's so many that all the other journals are being washed away by the excess of Happy Birthday journals. It's just highly annoying.

And I have no reason not to be respectful, I'm just giving my opinion on it. Just because I find the whole thing irritating doesn't mean I have to start pointless arguments with people. :)

But people want to wish him a happy birthday in their own journal, in their own way. Regardless how many there are.
Yeah sure it may be getting overdone, but you just gotta deal with it, I find no point whatsoever in yelling at fans for it.

But yeah, there's no point in making someone feel bad for liking a certain band or person. It's ridiculous.

I have no problem with people being fans or whatever and wanting to wish Gerard a happy birthday.

And I don't click the journals, for the most part... but the thing is, it gets overdone. I understand wanting to wish the man a happy birthday, but is it really necessary to post journal after journal on the topic? Can people not just COMMENT one of the ones that already exists with what they have to say about it?

It would be less obnoxious. I mean, I want to see journals about other things besides his birthday. And it seems, that although there are a few, they're washed out pretty quickly but a ton more new ones about the birthday. You look, and it's pretty much all you see.

So, I repeat: is it really so hard to just comment one of the ones already existing with a birthday wish that the man will never see anyway? And is it really necessary to post yet another journal about something that's ALREADY being talked about by so many others in that many other journals?
