oh my gosh I am also really frightened of public speaking and I have like start freaking out when I know I have to go in front of the class next.
I scares the bigeebees out of me.

Also, I say that you shouldn't talk if your not up to it because it's not worth anything so there isn't a point to you having to do something that you aren't comfortable doing

I think you should read the book "Speak".
There's a section in it about a girl refusing to do public speaking.

yeah, it is weird that you are shy but don't mind doing speeches and stuff, and the loud kids get scared. i guess it's 'cuz when they're just talking to their friends they're fine, but when it's a school thing that's kind of important it scares them...

lol, yeah, my teacher probably will hate me. He's the type that holds grudges for AGES. Oh well...hopefully i won't get him next year :-)

...i think its weird that i am super shy and i dont mind acting like an idiot infront of the class but when all the talkative kids go up to speak infront of the class they are scared shitless. i dont i just find that funny that may not be you though but i just find that happens alot.
