Yeah, you don't have to know someone to feel sorry about what is happening to them. I hope your realatives either learn better, or leave you alone.

My dad was young and his mom died. He said all he wanted was to get away from people that knew because they only felt sorry for him and wouldn't leave him a lone. Maybe you just need to get away. Go to your friends house but tell her that you don't want to talk about.
It must suck though. And I am sorry. Honestly, I am. I must be hard and I can't say that I know how you feel because I don't. If you want to talk then message me and I'll listen.

My friend's mother passed away a little over a month ago, and she was going through the same thing. She still gets people giving fake sympathy to her. And yes, there are stupid friends of hers like your friend Amberly who are going around telling everyone too. I really hope that they realize that the fake sympathy they are giving isn't helping and that they leave you alone to grieve properly.

I'm with Nixie. That's just got to really suck, and I'm super sorry. I've lost both of my mom's parents (my grandparents, obv), so I sort of know how you feel. And like Nixie said, feel free to message me too, I'll listen and not judge or make you feel like shit.
