I believe [I may be wrong, but I THINK] I read somewhere that two women can give an egg, and in a laboratory, scientists can make an embryo from that.
Yeah, but it needs a sperm.
    Only currently.
Scientists have taken the genes from two female mice--and no male--and created a baby mouse from it.
Humans can't do it yet, but eventually...
Yeah I did kinda say that XDD
You know, thats the problem with quoting six words out of 186. Contexxxxxt.

Looks like Asexual reproduction isn't just for geraniums anymore, heh. Although I do find the prospect of chopping up the chromosomes really creepy. I mean, females only have XX, right?
So females would only be able to fertilize their own eggs, producing only female children. Right?
Ah well, I suppose thats only a problem if you're Chinese.

Plus, people always say a child needs a father figure. Well, I don't always agree with that, but I think that at least a sperm would be cool, you know? at least keep something natural about reproduction, before we're all being grown in pyrex petri-dishes.
They did, in fact, have to mutate one of the genes of the females to act male.

Woah, this is all pretty confusing and amazing stuff.
Its a scary thing to think that maybe in the future children won't be born from their mothers.

    They will.
They won't be born from their fathers.
    No sperm required.

What about making a baby from two sperm and implanting it in a host uterus/growing it in a lab?

That would be possible. I mean, if we don't need any spunk, we sure as hell don't need eggs either. Maybe in the future children won't be born from their mothers.

'Love is love' is the most annoying fucking debate everrrrr. I hate it so much.

Yeah, when a man rapes his four year old daughter because he loves her and is sexually attracted to her, is that okay because love is love?

Nah. Love is only acceptable in certain situations, and it isn't always the be all and end all.

    That isn't love.
Rape isn't out of love for another person.
If you love someone you want them to be happy, even if that means without you.

    Love is love.
But not all love is right.
Love that hurts others is not right.
When love is possessive, stalking, or hurting it isn't fair to the other party.
Homosexual love just isn't fair to people who go 'that's wrong according to the Bible'.
It isn't their marriage so it's not their business.

The best thing I've ever heard about the "love is love" debate is my friend saying "It's not love if it hurts the other person."

I think gays should be afforded the same rights as every other married couple, regardless. It's just not fair for them to be excluded. I have a friend who goes to Church every week without fail, yet he won't be allowed to marry there.

A Priest, from a city a couple hours away from mine, was fired because he said that he believed homsexual people should be able to marry. They fired him. That's wrong. I may be Christian, but that's one thing I disagree with. I don't think we should be to tell people who they can and can't be with. This Priest was fired. I don't agree with that. It makes me mad. Even still, he says he won't renounce his faith. They've fired him and he still stands for both things he believes in. That's pretty fucking cool.

If you think about it logically and take love completely out of it...
I mean, love isn't necessary for marriage.
Sixty bucks and your signature is. People marry for green cards, money, etc.
Denying gay people the right to marry is denying them civil rights every other person has.
Equal rights are not special rights.

gay marriage is and should be an indivisual choice.
The stupid government can't control love so the government should back off and give people the right to marry whom ever they want.

    'The Government'

I have an issue with that.

The Government here passed a law saying gay people can get civil unions. Primerly, not every government is the same government.
Plus, it isn't The Government's choice as to what religions do. In fact, the whole issue surrounding this is that its actually the other way round, and it shouldn't be. 'cause if you really want someone to 'back off and give people x rights', then you need to blame the Vatican, or Queen Elizabeth, or someone who is head of a [christian] religion.

I guess blaming the government is the given thing to do, though. I'll accept that.

'give people the right to marry whom ever they want'
Well, I can't marry whomever I want. I can't get married full stop. period. ever. And I'm not even gay. Now here is a riddle to guess if you can. Why is it that I, as an average, ordinary, straight person, can't ever get married?

The government here abolished gay marriages and tried to create an amendment to the Constitution establishing that marriage is between a man and a woman.

Marriage certificates are issued by the courthouse, not the church.

The government controls that damn courthouse, not the Pope or the Pastor or the Reverend.

So when the government tells me that I do not deserve equal rights, I will blame the government. And when whatserface down the streets does the same thing, I will blame her.
