I can't listen to dubstep or techno, it's too busy and makes me wanna scream. I can't get into a lot of post-hardcore, so I stick to what I know.

I wouldn't say that you have to be an angry/angsty person to enjoy metal. I'm pretty chilled and I love me some heavy beats and screaming.

- I don't like angry, hardcore, screaming music like metal, screamo, or really heavy rock because I'm not an angry or angsty person at all, so I just can't get into it.
I would say they're wrong; music tastes aren't 'good' or 'bad', they're just tastes; what you happen to like and dislike.

- I've accepted the fact that, according to all of my friends, I have completely shitty taste in music.
I totally agree, it's purely opinion. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion, especially when it comes to music. My dad always says that if we were all into the same music, every band would sound like Westlife (not that that would be a bad thing or anything...)

Oh, I agree, but unfortunately, not everyone is as open-minded about other people's musical preferences as I am. People are constantly trying to push music on me that I simply do not like, and if I say I dislike a certain band that's supposedly popular, I get twenty questions about why I don't like them. People tell me they hate Big Time Rush all the time, but I don't interrogate them about it or try to shove it down their throat

Orchestral doesn't necessarily mean classical. :) Orchestras can play jazz, pop, all sorts.

- With that said, I can't listen to big orchestras with every single instrument in it. Classical, I guess it's called.
