I can't listen to dubstep or techno, it's too busy and makes me wanna scream. I can't get into a lot of post-hardcore, so I stick to what I know.

Is it bad that I can't stand cassical? I try to like it but if my foster dad puts the classical channal on the radio I beg for him to turn it off! it has to be really dancey for me to like classical otherwise no-no. However I can listen to dubstep thats my classical music! :D

I wouldn't say that I hate any genre. I can find a song in just about any given genre that I like, but in general, I don't like angry, hardcore, screaming music like metal, screamo, or really heavy rock because I'm not an angry or angsty person at all, so I just can't get into it.

I can't stand the dance-ish pop music playing on the radio these days. I don't hate pop music, just the dance-ish once that have really heavy beats or whatever. Stuff from like Nicki Minaj all that. It's over-produced and ugh.

I wouldn't say that you have to be an angry/angsty person to enjoy metal. I'm pretty chilled and I love me some heavy beats and screaming. tehe

I've tried so many times to get into it because most of my close friends are complete metalheads, and while I did listen to quite a few screamo bands during my high school days, it's just not me, and I'm okay with that XD

I've accepted the fact that, according to all of my friends, I have completely shitty taste in music.

Any form of music that includes screamo (with exception to a certain few tehe). Also, most of the trance/dance/dubstep scene. Obviously, again, there are exceptions but I can't stand most of it. It just sounds...I don't know, messy. Yes. Dance, trance and dubstep music is too messy for my poor brain to take.

I would say they're wrong; music tastes aren't 'good' or 'bad', they're just tastes; what you happen to like and dislike. Mr. Green

I totally agree, it's purely opinion. Everyone is entitled to have their own opinion, especially when it comes to music. My dad always says that if we were all into the same music, every band would sound like Westlife (not that that would be a bad thing or anything...Shifty)

Oh, I agree, but unfortunately, not everyone is as open-minded about other people's musical preferences as I am. People are constantly trying to push music on me that I simply do not like, and if I say I dislike a certain band that's supposedly popular, I get twenty questions about why I don't like them. People tell me they hate Big Time Rush all the time, but I don't interrogate them about it or try to shove it down their throat Facepalm

I've grown up in the heart of the south and I more or less abhor country. And trust me, this is the wrong place to grow up with a dislike of that type of music because you hear it at every turn and just no.

Not a huge fan of country...
And I'm not so fond of death/black metal.
I like metal, but I think the singers of those bands just sound severely constipated.
    Like, get some Metamucil, y'know?
Screamo is all right, but it actually gives me panic attacks, so I can only take- like- 15 minutes.

Pop music, because it is the most repetitive and cliché music in my opinion. I'll tolerate Carly Rae Jepson, Demi Lovato, some One Direction, and The Wanted.
Most rap, manly today's rap and not the older stuff. I like ICP, SPM, Eminem and old Lil Wayne.
Country, even though some of the songs may be hilarious or touching, I just can't take a lot of it,
    Hip-hop, R&B. No, just no...

I really don't like death metal. It's kind of overwhelming for me.
With that said, I can't listen to big orchestras with every single instrument in it. Classical, I guess it's called.
Most rap. It's all the same. Hoes, money, alcohol, and parties. Eminem is good, though.
That's just my taste, though. :D

Orchestral doesn't necessarily mean classical. :) Orchestras can play jazz, pop, all sorts.

I also forgot to mention that not all classical is orchestral. tehe It also involves chamber ensembles (just a few instruments), choirs and solo instruments. :)

I don't care for American Rap... a lot of it is very trashy without a real message other than ass shaking and what it was like in prison - half of them even have a record.. it just makes me angry...

I listen to rap, but I hate most of the stuff that's put out now, like Drake, 2 Chainz, etc.
I also can't stand country. (Most of it.)
