    The Way:
    A Melancholy Autumn:
I can never plan a story. I just let it go wherever it wants to.

My thought process is always the beginning, then end. It's the middle of the story that's a bitch to think up.
    Exactly.
Same. I have no reason to actually write it if I already know what's gonna happen.

I write what I feel that day. If I feel like writing, I'll get on the computer, and just start writing it as a chapter.

At Wal-Mart I ended up writing down a few lines on one of those paint strips.
Oddly enough, it was the paint strip that inspired the lines.

I was at the Gym when I got this amazing line. I ended up stealing some Registration Forms and a pen to get it all down. My inspiration hits anywhere.

Normally when I start planning for a new story I plan everything: the beginning, the climax, who's gonna do what, the setting, everything. I also write my chapters in order, but there are times when I'm in the pre-writing stage that I switch around things in chapters and jazz it up a bit. But there are some of my stories that I have no idea what the end is going to be, I just write until a good ending comes to me. It's a shot in the dark for those stories. I tend to like those stories more. More room for my mind to roam in. :)

Yesterday, I was at camp and I had inspiration but I had no paper so I snuck into the classroom at lunch and wrote on the boards. I used to do that at school too, go into the computer lab and stuff.

I write in order. But if an idea for the last chapter comes to mind and I'm afraid I'm going to forget, I write it down.

With my current story, everything is planned. I have mostly every chapter name written down and what's going to happen in it. But, some times I get a new idea and add it in. For the most part it's all planned.

I normally form a story around an ending. If not, I normally have a general concept of an ending planned - just not word for word.

I'll write on anything. Lately at work I've taken to writing on receipt paper when we're not busy. I got out over 1100 words one day one those damn things.
I've copied stories off of napkins, cardboard, backs of envelopes, etc.
It's stupid saying, but it almost makes me feel like "more" of a writer, just not being able to give up on a line simply because you don't have paper.
I used to write on my wall with pencil if I woke up in the middle of the night with a good idea.

Just recently I thought of the perfect ending for one of my stories so I wrote it out. I have to fill in about...4 chapters now before I can get to that, but at least it's written...

I know the last line for my current one-shot.
So now I just have to finish the fucker.
I usually have a zillion story ideas for the middle and end and then it just depends on which one decides to come out on my keyboard.

I always write in order, even though most of the time I have the ending decided on. But it's fun to see if something may chage. You can always come up with more ideas.

My notebook's pretty much a mess. I write everything in order, but sometimes things change majorly as I'm copying it on the computer. There's notes, corrections and song titles (I usually watch Fuse while writing for some reason) everywhere. I never have chapter names planned, I save that until the ending.

Yesterday I was writing and came up with the perfect ending for one of my stories, then continued to it's sequel's first chapter. I didn't write any of it down, but the idea'll probably be scribbled in the margin sometime today. I may have a general idea for the ending when I start a new story, but I don't think I've ever sat down and planned one out.

Another time I was doing a crossword out of a book and an amazing line came into my head so I ripped out the crossword and wrote all around it o-o

Sometimes. I can honestly say, I never never never have a whole story 100% planned out before I start writing. I mostly start with the main ideas and then start doing the little ones. It works best for me. :XD
Generally I have an ending planned out for a story before I even have the plots, characters, etc.
The only bad thing about the way I do everything is that it causes some stress. :XD
