I like writing about characters dying. The reactions of the characters and such...it's amazing.

But what I love more than the character's reactions? The reactions of those who read it. Shifty I love to watch them get attached to a character who ends up dying. /cough

Reactions to big dramatic things are the best. Especially when it's something depressing and if it's broken your heart to write then chances are it's going to feel that way for everyone else and then you can bond together on your sadness.

Or maybe we're just talking about different things but I agree with what you said too.

I also love writing about our Aussie culture, as Australians are typically laid back and chill, so it's easy to write because we just exude awesomeness Cute I know that other countries don't see Australia as having a strong culture but we do and it's awesome and I think more people should be exposed to it. (I could talk about how much I love Australia, but that's for a different thread XD)

I feel the same with that as well, the bonding about sadness. XD Sometimes I haven't even written something but I know how it's going to end up and I'm like OMG NO! I get so attached to characters I love. But there's a certain pleasure in knowing ow something is going to end and watching your unsuspecting readers love a character. It's probably something sadistic. lmfao

Sometimes in stories I get so attached to a character that if I write any more about said sadness it physically hurts me. Like this one story the main gal essentially kills her baby brother and omg it still tears me up inside.

It's okay I'm the same we can be sadistic together Weird lmfao

Oh lord, I know the pains of the main character killing or having to kill someone that they care about all too well. Facepalm Especially with this new story. It hurts so much. And then this past story I got attached to, the main character kills the man she loves. It's horribly great. lmfao

We can be. Cool With that same story, where she kills the one she loves, so many die. So many. When I finish writing it, I feel like I'll be looking at every reader like, "everything you love is going to die."

    ______

On another, happier note not related to sadistic tendencies... lmfao I really like writing about cute relationships with couples where they just play around. Innocence and happiness and such.

I love writing accents. I think they give a character so much more personality. Like, for example, I get a much better feeling and just an idea of how it sounds if a character says "Whatcha talkin' 'bout?" (like, if they've got the heaviest New York accent ever tehe) rather than "What are you talking about?" People of all places would say that differently. In Scotland we'd probably say "The hell you on aboot?" I think it just gives the character a lot of...well, character.

Of course it can't be done all the time otherwise it can get annoying or unreadable, but I just love writing accents. Weird

I like writing inner thoughts. Like, I usually write in third person omniscent, so I like to explore what the different characters are thinking in certain situations and I sometimes get carried away and have long paragraphs.

I also love to write platonic relationships, too. It's just nice to write a boy and girl hanging out together with no intention of hooking up.

It just hit me today that I want to do a story that takes place in the 20's, revolving around bootlegging. I'm really looking forward to doing the research for this :)

I'd like to do a fantasy femmeslash too someday.

Characters that are meant to be dark, but you end up loving them anyways because they have these few redeeming qualities (or even one) that make you fall for them. I'm writing a character like this now and even though most of me despises him, the love he has for his dog makes me think otherwise. IT'S KILLING ME.

I also love irony and quick wit.

I adore, love, writing (even reading!) about sassy sarcastic but sadistic and manipulative characters and/or villains. They just add so much more spice to the story, I think.
Plots and twists are my type of thing, for example in one story I am writing, Inquinatum (not posted here) I actually have a special book for all the lies the main character had been fed, along with his adopted brother. It's that right amount of a lot of twists, but not too many, and it makes it so much more exciting to write! :)
Fantasy too though, maybe a bit of futuristic stuff also. The two together = whoa! If shaped correctly, I think it's perfect though, which is what I'm trying to do with a new unnamed one c:

I love writing travel. I get super into it when my characters travel and write them out itineraries and look up hotels/flight times.

I love writing fucked up things happening to unsuspecting (and usually good/decent) people. Shifty
    I love dialogue. In Love
I love taking an otherwise normal setting or cast of characters and just dropping sci-fi and/or fantasy weirdness on their asses.
I love writing crossovers. I think I get a little carried away sometimes honestly.
And I love writing intense emotions, especially when it's a really significant scene for the character(s).
I just love characters and everything to do with them In Love (except physical description. Shifty)

I love writing romance, comedy, and fantasy. I'm trying to broaden my horizons, though. Angst is fun to write about and so is drama. I really want to give crime and mystery a shot. I doubt I'll ever pull off sci-fi (not the biggest fan of it). I mostly write fan-fiction, but I know for a fact that I'll write original fiction eventually.

I love to write sassy characters. I'm incredibly sassy on the inside, so it's nice to have a vessel to just let the sass flow through XD I try to keep a balance between what the sassy characters say and the sassy things they think, though, because I know how annoying/unbelievable it can be when a character is too over the top.
